  easy peasy
  what's harder, 8 ffa or 1v1?

  OP here

3 or 4 ffa is the hardest

>> [_] Anonymous 02/02/16(Tue)22:17:12 No.3013502

did 4 ffa, took 2 tries to win. i came to the conclution you are always at a slight disadvantage,
  not sure though...

You kidding? I couldn't beat 7+ on my first try. I switched to 4, and that shit was child's play.

  >>3013497
Yeah I'd agree with the other guy, hardest is when there's few enough that one side can gain an
advantage over you quickly instead of infighting, so 3-4 is hardest, 1v1 isn't as hard because
you get more or less equal shares to begin with and it's hard to become quickly disadvantaged if
  you make decent moves.

i just did 7 and 8 in a row, undefeated.
  attempting 3 and 4 now.

3 and 4 are way harder.

  >>3013529
see i beat 3 and 4 no problem and would end up too thinly spread with too many opposing forces
penetrating through my territories in 7 and 8
maybe some people's play styles just work better for different numbers of players

It came down to me and light blue, and we both had all stacks of 8

  >strategy game
  >play styles
  Bruh, the game's about winning.

If the enemy doesn't have enough units to win a fight, they will not attack. They will also
prioritize tiles with less units. This means that in games with a lot of players, saving up in a
small area will mean you are attacked less, leaving you strong for a mid/late game. In a game
with fewer players, you are much more likely to be attacked, so deferring attacks is harder if
not impossible. So long as you spend less than you earn each turn, you will win 98% of the time.

  >mfw I won on the first try
  >"oh here's a little button, what it do?"
  >return to main screen

Well fuck. It was complicated but just protect the inside and attack outside, sometimes it's best
to skip the turn to get more dice

>> [_] Anonymous 02/03/16(Wed)01:11:50 No.3013605

  >tfw nobody else realizes the key to winning is to cut off supply chains by dividing enemy

Attacking a stack of equal size is a slight disadvantage. Do you just wait in this situation to
hope for a more advantageous situation later? When do you choose to attack?

If there is an open area behind a single defender, do you risk weakening your forces in an area
to break through and ravage a large area? How much will you risk?

These are all questions of play style, bruh.

Against weak opponents like the AI playstyle might not matter. but when forced to play at the top
of your game, I'm sure your playstyle will become apparent. How much risk to you allow in a
certain situation? How much do you prioritize moving your army into the front lines? What kind of
formations to you prefer? How cautiously do you play when at a certain level of advantage? How do
you decide how advantaged you are in a certain situation?

I think the last time I saw this was in 2010. Thanks for posting it again.
