Jotaro never gets a single moment of development, despite being the main character, Polnareff gets the most character development for some reason, and as a result he was just about the only character I had any emotional investment in, and I spent a good chunk of the series questioning why they decided to make one of the main characters a fucking dog with an uncanny valley face instead of just a human character. I also didn't like the existence of stands coming into the picture, it's like free power that the characters don't even have to work for, which flies in the face of the theme in the previous parts.
