Even if, by some voodoo black fuckin' magic, that Nintendo were to just disappear one day and
everything associated with it, you all would be happy one week and then crying and moaning the
next. And not for the reasons you expect.
Once Nintendo is gone, that means that Microsoft and Sony are able to move in on Nintendo's now
open market share and audience. Because suddenly there's a huge gap in competition, Sony and
Microsoft have only themselves to fight against. Sony will make a new handheld, while Microsoft
will inevitably give up and withdraw from the console market.
Once Microsoft leaves the console market, that leaves only Sony with a vast majority market share
and a monopoly. No other company, with Microsoft out of the picture, has a snowball's chance in
hell of competing with Sony, so Sony's business practices start to get more and more
anti-consumer. Want to know why? Because they know that you faggots are too god damn retarded to
put together anything more complicated than a few wires on the back of their Playstation consoles
and, as a result, you're boxed in. The only way out is to not buy a console.
Oh, but that's easy for Generation X to do, since we grew up with consoles but we're not addicted
to them because we also grew up with PC's. Generation Y and Generation Z, however? They're
totally fucked. They want the biggest and newest thing all day every day. Sony rides out the next
three or four decades simply on the fact that people have no choice but to purchase the
Playstation and the newly revamped Vita if they want easy gaming.
The entire time, /v/ will be far worse than it is now. They'll fight Sony tooth and nail, while
lamenting the days of Nintendo long gone, wondering why Nintendo gave up and disappeared one day.
At least for a little while, until the psyops from the shills forces the easily hypnotized masses
of /v/ into believing that this was for the best, not unlike they are now.

PC Master Race will continue to gloat and understand their superiority, but even they have a
traitor amidst their ranks.
With Microsoft leaving the console sector behind, they turn their sights to digital PC sales. At
first they're a direct competitor with Steam, but they learn quickly and have the money,
manpower, and the OS userbase to crush Steam into the ground. Since Steam and Valve already has
very little left of what made it actually good, it takes only a decade for Microsoft's new
digital download platform to start outperforming Steam, and Steam's sales, market share and stock
begin to plummet. At the end of the decade, Valve officially closes its doors. It leaves servers
online for a few months to allow users to download games permanently to their computer, but
people lose billions of dollars worth of games as a result.
Every game company that worked with Steam has no choice but to move to Microsoft's digital
download platform. There is no competition here, either: places like GoG, G2A and EA's Origin are
swiftly crushed or assimilated. PC Master Race are too caught up in their own superiority to
realize any of this has really occurred. The transition is swift and fluid. Only the vocal
minority on /v/ realizes any of this has occurred, and are quickly labeled as shitposters and
conspiracy theorists by the new majority of Sony and Microsoft paid shills, and what few genuine
users and lurkers of /v/ are actually left.
You can think of it as Gaming's Dark Ages.
So if anything, you should be praying Nintendo does well.

I bought SNES games back then for what now translates into €44, which is a bit over ¥ 5000. This
was twice almost twice as expensive as regular SNES games back then.
