gonna ramble because I'm just a big fan of horror, and am actually really disappointed with this
in two ways.
firstly, could've been neat.
instead they made a thing where you basically have to break logic and do the dumbest stuff to
beat it in, like, a minute.
the amount of stupidity condensed into this tiny little flash is astounding.
heard a noise I'm ever so slightly suspicious of? better go ahead and hide in the closet!
oh, there's a terrifying, monstrous thing in my house? Gotta get dressed before I go!
and then oh, it's fine because the oh-so-videogame thing of getting dressed being literally
instant.
then you get your only real choice in the game, win or die.
There a thing she 'can't get a good glance at' barely hidden at all, right between you and a door.
oh, I guess I click it to investigate because i'd be an idiot to just walk right in front of it.
nope, that makes it kill you.
not even 'you walk up to it and it kills you', clicking it just prompts the thing to rush you
without any player interaction.
which just starts you at waking up, so you gotta sit through the choiceless cutscene that is the
first monster again.
once you get back, the answer is to just click the door, walk right by the giant monster,
practically dangling yourself in front of it as free food, and just win.
then, honestly, idiotic player choices aside, as far as horror goes?
this is... alright.
it's not terrible, but boy is it generic.
note tries a bit too hard, as does the monster's mumbling, and the two monster feel like designs
from separate, vaguely similar things at closest.
also just goes for pure shock horror, without really being shocking.
lot of potential, but bogged down in seemingly a mix of genericness and low effort.

yeah they could have put the door on the opposite side of the monster to make an obvious choice
which woul be far better than to put the monster right beside the door where you get in the near
proximity where it could grab you and kill you but that for some reason doesn't happen which
makes no fucking sense
