why was it so unknown?
I loved this game, it was so quirky and weird. and the rolling hitpoints was pretty inventive.
I almost wonder if it was overshadowed by the numerous other RPGs on that system.
this and custom-robo need some love from nintendo.

The Earthbound/Mother series probably won't get anymore love, since I don't think that Itoi's
been working with them since Mother 3. They might release Mother 3 for Wii U/3DS virtual console,
but that's really all of the extra love that the series will get from Nintendo.
It's super disappointing too, Mother 3 made me cry and appreciate life more after I was done
playing it and Earthbound's knocked me out of a depressive rut or two.
I don't know anything about Custom Robo, so I have no idea whether or not Nintendo will do
anything with it.

I beat them all, Mother 1 was a bitch but I got through.
I cried at Earthbound, a little while after I beat Mother 3, but not for EBZ / Mother 1

Mother 4 is in the works as a fan project. Shigesato Itoi has said that he's not doing Mother 4,
he wants the fans to make it, as he "wants to be the player this time".
