"Even the slightest distraction could be disastrous" old cliche' is old. It's not foreshadowing, it's not intricate story telling, it's schlock. Sloppy schlock. Closed loop temporal paradox feeding into itself over and over again. Standard scifi trope. It's been done often and it's been done better. In short: You're a shit writer. Get better at it or get someone else to do it for you.
