wut? sure, some used it, but Tezuka figured it out how cheaper it would be if you made them big
and simplified the rest, instead of drawing expensive and time consuming body and facial
animation.
His whole life work was dedicated to devising and improving techniques of making cheap animation,
thus contributing to its popularity in japan and lowering its quality at the same time.
He literally turned Japanese animation into shit.

If it weren't for Tezuka's techniques, there wouldn't *be* Japanese animation. Postwar Japan
lacked the investment capital and talent for quality animation. Tezuka did what he did
specifically so he could afford making animation in the first place.
