Most pepperoni slices I have ever had were kinda oily or more oily then the alternative slices
they had.

I mean sometimes I can enjoy a slice with lots of toppings if the slice is right.
Ideally you want the toppings secured under melted cheese rather then being loose and ontop so
they fall off while eating it (annoying).
Also I like it kinda crispy/alittle chrunchy and have a thick/cooked enough base that the slice
will stay basically stay straight even if you hold it up. That requires a pretty stable crust.
I stopped in this random shitty looking rathole pizza joint yesturday (in a very expensive area
though) and ordered from this guy who seemed to have some social issues. He never smiled and
stared into my eyes. I was worried he hated me for some reason.
Anyway I got home and fuck the pizza was amazing. I was surprised I kinda thought it was gonna be
shitty but actually it was the shit.

Perhaps though in fairness you can find plenty of great pizza in America and also tons of awful
pizza.
Pepperoni is not a high quality meat though and nitrates are unhealthy for you (you'll also find
them in cheaper hotdog brands).

You'll also find the nitrates in any kind of cured meat, including but not limited to ham,
salami, mortadella; even in italian supermarkets. Its an additive to keep the stuff from going
bad fast, but unfortunately if you eat that shit all the time chances are you can get stomach
and/or bowel cancer.

I've been googling a bit and apparently nitrates aren't really bad for you, (there's more
nitrates in vegetables than cured meat for example) but if you cook them they turn into something
that's bad for you. Or something like that.
