Well most people can't be unique and cool like you unfortunately.

  I personally enjoyed the game.
I thought the dialogue was done well and the interactivity of the world was pretty good.
I also liked a few of the characters.
The game itself was nicely polished, the art was neat and simple and everything seemed to fit
  together well.
You could tell the creator really poured his heart out into the game and wasn't just trying to
  grind it out.
Had a few interesting mechanics and ideas which atleast the first time you experienced them were
  fun.
Had a few parts I really disliked but they were a minority and atleast on the first playthrough
pretty easy to ignore or not get bothered by.

Again... I think it was a good game.
As with all games some will just not like it and others will love it.
I think its clearly good enough though that you shouldn't be bothered by those who like it.
It isn't some empty shitted out indie game mean't to pander.

I played up to getting to the goat lady's house and then went to the basement and she blocked me
  off.
I then got bored of the game and stopped playing.
Then I later found out to even get the real ending, I had to play by not actually playing and not
attack or get exp which turned me away even father than I was turned off from the game when I
  stopped caring.

I have this same problem with Steven Universe. It's basically an american anime at this point in
terms of plot, but nobody will touch it because tumblr has a raging boner for it cause it's got
like, one lesbian couple, who stay fused as one character 99% of the time so you don't even have
to see it, and one of those two is so easily mistaken for a guy my far-right father assumed that
episode was a normal straight love story about a couple getting over a fight.

Besides, I thought 4chan was a fan of lesbians anyways.

Is murdurhobo some stupid shit from the game?
If I'm playing a game meant to be an rpg, or looking like one, I would want to play it as an rpg

I rather play a fucking game than watch a fucking game and just run along with the motions.

roleplay or nuance to it, where problems can be solved through diplomacy and through

  >Is murdurhobo some stupid shit from the game?
Naw, man, murderhobo is a term used to refer to adventurers - usually the one played by your
typical tabletop RPG player for things such as D&D. Obsessed with loot, EXP and power, and goes
around murdering people for stats, without ever considering that 'I stab him with my claymore'
isn't the only possible option available to them.

Basically it both pokes fun at the fact that adventurers are sociopaths who camp outdoors and
kill people in cold blood and take their shit, while also doubling as describing a shallow
  meathead player.

  >Basically it both pokes fun at the fact that adventurers are sociopaths who camp outdoors and
kill people in cold blood and take their shit, while also doubling as describing a shallow
  meathead player.

Funny enough, games like Drakengard and NieR mock this mentality too, by drawing attention to the
fact that the protagonists are quite literally awful people for doing what they do.

What's funny is that's not even how you play the game. Not only that, but playing the game
without killing is far more challenging and difficult than actually attacking and fighting.

In other words, you're bitching that the game's Easy Mode isn't the default style of gameplay.

a lot of point-and-clicks do the same for psychopathic kleptomaniac instead of murderer.

I think my favorite thought was Skyward Sword, which did it about wanton destruction and

  True that.

In other words, what Undertale did - giving you the option to avoid combat, and actually
encouraging you not to be a total shit - wasn't even a new thing. It comes up in pretty much any
RPG that isn't just basic or bland as fuck.

There's a few other cyberpunk games too:
The Shadowrun Returns games have lots of missions that you can clear without getting into a
shootout if you built your character around that sort of thing. There's also an indie game called
Dex that similarly features stealth as an option to avoid combat and reach your goals.

Other great RPGs that play that way include Troika's Arcanum and Vampire the Masquerade:
  Bloodlines.

sonic suffers from spikes of extreme autism like chrischan, but undertale is a fandom that was
from the start linked to homestuck fans and tumblr, on top of reddit and /v/.

just stop and think about what a combination like that gives. it's like a nuke of concentrated

I kinda wanna pacifism run Oblivion or something now.

I already did the "pick everybody's locks just cause I can, and steal all food I come across,
combining it into potions which weigh less, no longer count as stolen items."
Seems like a good change of pace. Pacifist, law abiding citizen. Might even make a good stream.

In tabletop games like D&D, some people bitch that playing 'Lawful Good' is somehow boring,
because it means following the law and playing by society's rules, and that chafes the edgy
  wannabe 'rebels'.

But when you think about it, being Lawful Good has some serious perks too: for one thing, the
city guard is on your side, because you've proven yourself to be trustworthy and honorable.
People are way more willing to trust you and take your word for things when you ask them for
help, and you become friend and ally to the everyman.

Being a good guy can be a fun experience. It's just a shame people rarely give it a chance.

  >you can run from fights with 0 penalty, excluding bosses and it saves the trouble of doing all
  that retarded shit
  >you can beat enemies within an inch of killing them and then spare them with no penalty and
without having to act or do other such bullshit
  >infinite retries on boss fights with no penalty
  >last boss(es) on true pacifist are literally impossible to lose to unless you've hacked to get
that far and are physically unable to play, or straight up close the game entirely
  >have plenty of items that restore hp
  >only 2 actually challenging boss fights are on the route that forces you to be max level and
gives you free gear and items

have you even fucking played the game? the only reason any fight in it would be hard for anyone
is if they needed some time to get used to a boss fight mechanic.

seeing threads like these i can't help but think the only people who legitimately find this game
challenging and goty-material in any capacity are people who haven't played enough non-mobile
games and haven't watched anime in their lives, or haven't browsed the internet in the past,
  what, 5 years at most.

I find it interesting that in 4e and 5e, you can play a chaotic evil paladin.

Act like a goody two-shoes, no lying, no cheating, protect the innocent, all that sugary yada
yada stuff, and I'm showered with fame, power, and babes. And if it doesn't get me one of those
three things, it's not worth my time. As long as I save a few kids and slay a few threats every
so often and spout idolizable platitudes, I get sweet magic powers and the adoration of an entire
town. This is so much better than my old noble impersonation scams.

It's like a dark, cynical version of cape stuff. A superman only in it for the sponsorship deals.
