I really don't want to spoil any of what I think is a great anime, my genuine favourite, so it's kind of hard to say what's good about it. Most of the people I know who like it have their own histories with mental illness, and they like how it charts her psychotic descent into herself and the wired; It's highly expressive and cathartic. Is it enough to just say persevere with it? try watching up to episode 6ish before you give up, you might be pleasantly surprised. Also most lain posters are shitty and autistic, ignore them.
