Always makes me feel bittersweet. Nothing short of incredible to describe just how utterly far
we've come technologically in since the 50's and the birth of the arpanet and while computers
were still in their infancy.
Now we have entire cities being connected and controlled by computers and networks with a global
span and reach at incredible speeds and reliability. Makes me feel.
I wonder where we'll be come 2027.

Meh. Nothing interesting has happened in the last 12 years or so, only architectural degeneration.
I'm talking about this cloud bullshit, obviously. We're literally going decades backwards; to the
era of dumb terminals connected to mainframes. Only now we get plethora of new security and
privacy issues as bonus, since we're talking about global internet services rather than a
mainframe on your local network.
Unicast video streaming through packet-switched networks is also really fucking stupid and a huge
waste, but that's the kind of stupidity we can get away with more capacity. Kinda like how
software bloat keeps growing endlessly, but Moore's law is barely faster. For now.

Just look at what happened between 2007 and 2017.
Less freedoms, more normies and surveillance.

This is the truth that no one dare speak:
Nothing has truly happened since then, the cancer had already taken over.

Incorrect.
Internet censorship has grown in the past 10 years and so has government surveillance. And things
will only become worse.

I'm sure he meant in the sense of a sort of progress with technology. I don't know if that's true
or not though.
