Everyone liked his father, Pierre Trudeau was a very popular figure. Justin Trudeau used this to
gain votes from the boomers during the election by [trying to] act the same way reciting one of
his quotes here or there. He derived huge success from this and got a large amount of the boomer
vote. Plus, the Conservative party was under heavy fire due to their screw ups in their last
term, people were unwilling to vote Conservative.
Thing is, people realized pretty soon putting him in office was a pretty bad decision. Approval
ratings have gone from 90% to 60% in one year.
