Is this broken, it won't play locally.

  you probably saved a preloader

  A 2.34 MB preloader?
The archived threads talk about it as if it were working, http://swfchan.net/17
  /84570.shtml?Pitan.swf

Maybe it's incompatible with modern flash players.

>> [_] Anonymous 01/08/17(Sun)01:16:05 No.3198838

I also decomplied it and it has a bunch of sprites and frames, defiantly not a preloader.

It may rely on some web service that's no longer running.

>> [_] Anonymous 01/08/17(Sun)01:24:52 No.3198844

  >>3198840
  It didn't have any actionscript.

Hmm. I had this before. The new adobe flash version just doesn't load it.
Fixed it with a blank edit.
Sorry, don't have flashbulb with me now, but to do it, I just opened it in flashbulb and
saved/exported it right again. See if that does it.

I don't have flashbulb, I'll do it later. Thanks for the tip.

I forget which flash version it was, but certain flashes don't load in local player version 13
  onwards.

worked in my 10 player. it broke in either 11 12 or 13.

You can find all of the old versions of flash here:
  https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1388144
On newer firefox installations NPSWF32.dll has to be moved from firefox/plugins into
  firefox/browser/plugins once it is installed.
