If you mean /i/ as in why moot changed it from invasion to oekaki, it's because he kept getting
threatened with lawsuits when we would fuck everything up.
In his defense he tried keeping it around as a secret board but people kept getting in and
reporting it anyway.

That's different than my info that the invasions board wasn't ever actually hosted on 4chan, but
on partner sites like not4chan that were dropped early on.
What I actually mean is the left-hand frames column has /i/ and /ic/ as drawing boards, while now
in the frames view they are under image boards.
