I also make an flv in this process two. The difference is that FLVmaker only supports h.263, while h.264 has both more features and more efficiency when it comes to handling low-bitrate content. I spent a good 2-3 hours in ffmpeg trying to make this encode as good as possible, and then muxing it into an flv and putting it through swfh264. swfh264 is not a point-and-click tool, you still have to know how to encode properly. Hell, I have manually copied video streams from Niconico when possible, so that there is absolutely no quality loss. The preloader is currently a limitation of starting an incomplete h.264 stream in Flash. Would you rather have much lower quality with no preloader? (Note: Not uploading in the first place is not an option) >Or, better yet, not upload crappy youtube rips in the first place. If you mean crappy as in low-quality, I try not to.
