>> [_] Anon 2999519 What's this show called?
>> [_] Anon 2999520 Fuck.
>> [_] Anon 2999522 >># Animatrix.
>> [_] Anon 2999542 >># animatrix
>> [_] Anon 2999546 >># now i have a name for my childhood nightmare fuel i remember i couldn't have been more than 10 and this shit came on late night teletoon(canadian cartoon channel) after I played my gamecube all day and was trying to sleep the scene of the guy getting ripped out of the mech while his arms and legs are still locked inside made me sick and I still have nightmares about it sometimes
>> [_] Anon 2999547 >># Wow, those sure were some nice 22 pixels
>> [_] Anon 2999548 I forgot how fucking awesome this was. Thanks
>> [_] Anon 2999550 >># Really, I thought it was awesome, because cartoons aren't real!
>> [_] Anon 2999553 >># I know, me too. Anime was always way too fucked up for my 8 year old psyche. It helps to remember that it's just a cartoon, though.
>> [_] Anon 2999556 >># lemme hop in my time machine and tell 10 year old me that
>> [_] Anon 2999563 >># >1 off
>> [_] Anon 2999582 >># i remember watching this and it scared the shit out of me as a child
>> [_] Anon 2999588 >># >># >># >># You were a child when the animatrix came out? Jesus.
>> [_] Anon 2999604 >># >13 years ago. Well, makes sense. If they watched it when they were 5 or older they can now post here.
>> [_] Anon 2999608 >># Shut up grampa
>> [_] Anon 2999625 what i dont buy is how humans would think that a machine --that is able to think and combat humans on an equal or even superior level-- couldn't figure out a way to get energy without the sun. it doesnt make sense. even if the sun was their only source it would just mean that the machine would figure out some way to get past the clouds (building huge sun catchers above them or something, since they are machines such construction shouldn't be a problem). it's not like the clouds are an unstoppable barrier, they even flew above them in the third matrix movie for a short while the only reason i can think of is that the machines hadn't get gotten to such a stage that they could create such a construction, but in that case it feels like they shouldn't be able to win against the humans. so feels like in reality any kind of "let's block the sun" idea would get shut down by a thousand scientists. kinda ruins it a bit for me.
>> [_] Anon 2999631 >># >Global Warming Yeah, we sure are listening to the scientists in this timeline
>> [_] Anon 2999632 >># >13 years old when I say this shit I know where you're coming from. That mech scene haunted me for a few years.
>> [_] Anon 2999637 When I fap I cum into the towel I just used to dry myself after having a shower.
>> [_] Anon 2999638 >># yes we are? a lot of people are doing a lot of things to reduce the environmental impact. and that is hardly the same in the first place
>> [_] Anon 2999639 >># Yeah I always thought the same but it's a conceit that allows for the whole premise of The Matrix
>> [_] Anon 2999640 >># I think humans were desperate for something their economy was simply broken and the robots were impossible to beat in a war the ideia that looked the best won it and as show in the anime the humans started winning the war for a small period of time, going past the clouds probably wasnt possible because of winds lightings and theyd probably lose protection from the earths magnetic field or the fact that just making huge farms of humans on unsed soil was easier
>> [_] Anon 2999644 I don't have a cold, but my nose always drips. I stopped blowing my nose and now I just drink the nasal drip.
>> [_] Anon 2999649 >># i still think it would have been shut down by something like "how will we farm? we'll starve before beating the machine". no matter how desperate you are the thought of your children starving usually makes you think twice
>> [_] Anon 2999654 >># We probably had other ways of making food or a way to clean the sky after the war if the robots didnt adapt after all we created a AI capable of think and combat humans on an equal or even superior level but your argument is true. but the humans on that universe were extremely egocentric and started the war just because didnt wanted to recognize a robot country so yeah i dont know if they'd think in the next generations
>> [_] Anon 2999657 i loved the animatrix, and this short was my fav, probably because it was the least strange of the lot
>> [_] Anon 2999661 >># I thought the idea was to weaken the robots then wipe them out while they were weak, or something.
>> [_] Anon 2999668 >># >started the war just because didnt wanted to recognize a robot country cool, didn't know the lore
>> [_] Anon 2999671 >># you should really watch the whole thing. Not watching the Animatrix is like watching the star wars prequels but skipping Genndy Tartovsky's animated Clone Wars series
