I feel you. hopefully Linux becomes more mainstream as people get fed up with the bullshit
Microsoft is pulling. I would've switched over already but too much of the software I use is
Windows only.

I recently made the switch
feels good man
probably hardest part of switching is software, but often there's an alternative, and sometimes
it'll just work in wine with no issue

always bums me out a bit. i had a lot of respect for microsoft up to windows 10. sure windows 8
was bad and they started the whole trend to charged money to play online on console (and named
their third xbox fucking number one) but they would bounce back with their next windows for sure.
i never really got the hate for microsoft.
dunno what ill do once windows 7 becomes too old to use, i hope it just wont happen

I made the switch years ago. The trick is (or, rather, was) to install both Windows and Linux
(Linux as main, Windows for campatibility. Games mostly.) and then switch between the two using
the GRUB boot loader. Feels good man, Linux for life.
Take it from a pro.
