Man.... this brings me back. The first few weeks i started smoking, I met this wonderful girl.
She liked the Beatles. I never listened to them but assumed they were shit. I downloaded the
greatest hits on FLAC. I ran a 1/4in headphone jack to my powerful 70s onkyo amplifier. Right
through my ground level basment window, under a deck. I turned the album on, took in some lines
of a Ketamine analog i was newly using, and sat in bliss with my 2nd or third pack of Lucky
Strikes ever.
Things have spun out of control since then. But i will never forget that girl. I haven't been
with a girl since, in 6 years. She snuck in through my window and we laid in bed naked just
talking. No drugs. For 8 hours without food, completely fascinated with eachother. She left in
the morning.
I ended up isolating myself because i was still a kid and she disappeared. Whenever i hear that
song i think of her, and the rain and good times.
