keep an eye on this list, once 4chan is on there, unless you have esl (or nightly for some
reason, I have 57 and have no problems) versions, you wont be able to use flash.
https://github.com/mozilla-services/shavar-plugin-blocklist/blob/master/flash.txt
proof:
"August 2017
Starting with Firefox 55 in August 2017, users must choose which sites are allowed to activate
the Flash plugin. Users will have the choice to remember the Flash setting per-site. This change
will be rolled out progressively during August and September 2017.
In order to improve security and performance, Mozilla will maintain a list of sites which cannot
use any plugins."

That's only if you update Firefox. Do you have autoupdate enabled or something? I'm still on v45
here.

That ram hog? My computer probably will last longer now that I don't use chrome anymore.

god I miss 45, I still have a copy of ESR 45.0.1 and it just runs well without any config of
addons and plugin support, none of the e10s bullshit.

That's a really bad idea. Web browsers are one of the most security-critical programs on a modern
computer, and regular updates are nessisary to have any chance of being secure.

I think you folks might be getting over exited about this - it's not some global deathlist to
force Flash off the internet.
From https://support.mozilla.org/id/kb/flash-blocklists
>What kind of websites are on Firefox's blocklist?
>Firefox blocks Flash on the following sites:
> * Websites that are embedded in other websites.
> * Sites that use plugins unnecessarily. If a popular website does not need Flash to work
properly, Flash will be automatically blocked in order to give you a faster and better browsing
experience.
/f/ would obviously be broken by turning flash off, and is therefore is ineligible for blocking.
Also, there's a checkbox to disable the blocklist if it actually does cause problems. (Though
that would be a bug, and should probably be reported to Mozilla)
