Did anyone else play the SNES game sidescrolling beat-em up? I remember getting to the last level and panicking because I wasn't confident in my skills to finish the final boss, so I passed the game off to the elder siblings who were much better at the game, but because I wasn't playing as that giant motherfucker Ioz they couldn't play as well and we all ended up never beating the game. But it was a heluva lot of fun regardless. In retrospect, it was a slightly less good TMNT: Turtles in Time, but still pretty good. >> [_] Anonymous 07/12/17(Wed)21:33:11 No.3261553 >>3261453 He's right, you know. >> [_] Anonymous 07/12/17(Wed)23:02:09 No.3261576 >>3261553 Literally all of those things he mentioned are still available today and aside from some shit sitcom tv show, most of those things are still enjoyed today. The only thing that has changed with these people is that they realized there is more in the world than what they knew as a child, and in a desperate attempt to cling to what they know, they drown themselves in nostalgia and ignore the good things that are being built upon the very things they enjoyed. I wonder how many people in their 30's today were excited for the Legend of Zelda on the Nintendo Switch. Probably not many, even though the game follows a very similar structure to that of the titles they enjoyed on the Nintendo 64 like Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Also, this video was clearly mocking the narrator's views of the nineties, and most people (except you apparently) realized this. >> [_] Anonymous 07/12/17(Wed)23:04:46 No.3261579 >>3261576 Sounds like somebody grew up in the 2000's. >> [_] Anonymous 07/12/17(Wed)23:12:03 No.3261581 >>3261579 "Good TV show" is an oxymoron. Television is something you watch when you have absolutely nothing better to do. Just like reading. Stay delusional. >> [_] Anonymous 07/12/17(Wed)23:19:25 No.3261584 >>3261581 >doesn't understand that "good" can be a relative term Come talk to me again when you make it through middle school. >> [_] Anonymous 07/12/17(Wed)23:40:50 No.3261589 >>3261576 I am in my 20s, loved the N64 games and was interested in the new Zelda, but not willing to pay $700 for what will likely otherwise be a shit tier console, because that's what Nintendo does nowadays. Having said that, I have several coworkers in their 20s and 30s who bought the Switch solely so they could play the new Zelda and have little interest in anything else on the console. Remember when Nintendo made the good consoles? You wouldn't if you grew up in the 2000s. Nintendo would be the next Sega or Atari if they didn't have their flagship titles with a loyal fanbase. |
