I couldn't get into D2 way back when. Perhaps it was my unfortunate choice of choosing
Necromancer or my lack of understanding the skill trees (that you're not supposed to put your
skill points into every single one)

D00d - the necro owned in that game. Especially the summon tree with anni + torch + sk charms +
mara + Enigma and the rest of the badass gear for summon necs.
It's hilarious about the melee paladins... They didn't do too well against crap. PVP wise the
shield'dins were OK, FoH too. Melle skills just sucked tho.
Barbs were OK. I'd say sorcs were op in general. as were the amazons. Druids were good too. I
never got into assassins much - I hear they had a few good pvp builds - pve was mostly just
lightning trap builds. I played that game for over 15 years - I still ahve red vex and many
working plugins to own that game if I wanted...
I really wish blizz made a remastered version of d2 like they are doing starcraft.... that would
be pimp fucking diggity.

it works fine for me. You know how blizzard has battle.net - and you can go into your account
secion and see the games you've bought - well under that section they even have a downloader for
the classic games if you added your keys to the batte.net acocunt. If you have retail copies you
should be able to add them - then download the installer. Make sure you do both orig and LOD.
again - works fine on my computer.
HOWEVER!!! There is a really huge thing you need to know.
The direct draw (2d) can no longer be set properly in the settings because blizz being the
fuckwits they are fucked with the program that let you set the configuration. So now after all
the updates are done - there is a plugin that you can download and use (it's safe) which makes it
so it's like the 2d draw - you want this because it will allow you to play with proper FPS.
If you use the stupid default setting the dps is complete shit in the game - and you will be at a
huge disadvantage when it comes to picking up good drops in public games. Not to mention your
fighting ability won't be as sharp or as good.
So get the damn plugin lol.
It is called :
Svens glide wrapper (for diablo 2)
Make sure you read all the instructions on how to use it properly and get it setup right.
You will thank me for telling you about this glide wrap for the game - because without it the
gameplay sucks ass through a fucking straw.
Other than all that - you will be fine.

Blizzard is fucking retarded to do another version if they are actually going to do that shit.
They ONLY need to do content releases on 3 and keep evolving that game. They can seriously make
tons of great expansions for that game and really make it a shit ton better.
Then going to 4 in my opinion is nothing but a piece of shit cash grab. It pisses me the fuck off.

Really?
I've been playing a lot of local co-op with friends and the paladin always wrecks face. He just
puts a ton of points into Thorns I think it's called and lets enemies hit him for wacky amounts
of automatic damage. I cast Amplify Damage and things just start dying. Never played PVP before
though.

played, got annoyed and were done forever with diablo 3. even if they make 100 expansions or dlcs.
