  I can't understand SWFTools.

THE DISH: MOM'S GOOD OL' VEGGIE n' FILLIN'S STEW

WHY? : This'll provide you with yummy and simple dinners for a whole week!

WHO?: For folks on a budget that want to still eat nutritious (After initial investment in
expensive ingredients such as spices, rice and beans and broth, fresh veggies for subsequent
batches should come to around $5-$10 in cost)

TOOLS: A BIG OL' STOCK POT (or something to hold the sheer volume of awesomeness of this dish), A
WOODEN SPOON (or other sturdy stirring device), AND A LADEL

  INGREDIENTS

1 cup dry beans (pinto, black, whatever floats your boat)
  1 cup brown rice/wild rice

1 russet potato (should be approx. 1 cup of potato when diced)

  1 cup chopped celery
  1 cup carrots
1 yellow onion (should amount to approx. 1 cup raw when diced)

1-3 cups of any other kinds of good stewing veggies, diced (bell peppers, brocoli, cauliflower,
chili peppers, mushrooms, leeks are examples of really nice stews) (and if you're feeling RICH
AND INSANE, 1-3 cups CHOPPED MEAT)

1-2 cloves fresh garlic, chopped or crushed

  1 tsp salt
1 tsp italian spice mix (usually is some blend of thyme, parsley, oregano and basil)
  1 tsp chili powder
  1 tsp paprika
  1 tsp black pepper

  12 cups water
or 6 cups water/6 cups broth (can be any kind you want, veggie, chicken, beef, etc.)

or 12 cups water and 8 boillon cubes/tsp's stock

  HOW DO I DO

Soak the beans in water in pot for 8 hours or overnight. drain water. Add rice. 6-10 cups of
water should be enough to cover the beans and rice such that about an inch of water is left, but
adjust as needed. Heat to a boil, and cover pot with a lid. It should take 30 min - 1 hr to fully
cook rice, the beans might take a little longer (you can taste test a bean by chewing it, if it's
still crunchy in parts in the middle it needs more cooking. Should be tender/mushy all the way
through). Add salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, italian herbs, and whatever "souping" item you
  (cont.)

(cont.) whatever "souping" item you decided to go with (boillon cubes, stock, or broth). Add all
the veggies and stir. If necessary, add water until *almost* all of the veggies are submerged
(it's good if a few are poking out the surface to give the recipe a thick "stew" like
  consistency).

  Stir it all together well.

Bring it all to a boil.

Reduce the heat down to a simmer and cover with a lid.

Give it another 30 min - 1 hr of simmering. Once veggies are tender, stew is ready to enjoy.
Ladel from deep below to get at rice and beans that tend to be further towards the bottom and
enjoy that glorious slop with some lovely bread and butter on the side. Perfect for colder nights
  in the fall and winter.

Avoid it like the plague. Don't cancer up the board. Apparently you made a perfectly broken
  "flash" with it.
  Just make flash with Flash.

Recipe sounds tasty tho, could use a little seasoning to punch it up, maybe some epazote and a
  pinch of horse raddish.

I was hoping there would be a way around having to acquire Adobe in some capacity, but it looks
like I was wrong. Oh well.
