Hello I'm a web developer and flash is fucking shit.
For starters, it's insecure as fuck, it's just shit in that regard really.
So update it right? Well except it's also proprietary, it's not just "Flash" it's "Adobe Flash"
you know? And honestly Adobe can go suck a big sack of dicks, hate those people, and they are not
updating it past 2020 which is even more of a problem.
We used to use flash for some things, interactive stuff, none of that makes sense anymore, you
want a video? nice, we have standards for video playing, every browser has them, html5 baby.
You want to play a song? (Really? do you really want to do this?) we can do that too, which is
cool.
You want some interactive menu or some specific bullshit that your page has to do? Yeah we can do
that, javascript does that pretty well, that's cool.
But if you have been using flash for years and you only know how to make those in flash then shit
sucks because you have to learn something else.
I like flash animations, I've been browsing this board for at least 7 years by now, but by today
standards flash is a fucking shit technology that deserves to die for many reasons and I honestly
think we can do better than this.
Dunno, maybe it would be funny to see a /javascript/ board?
