It make me feel warm inside.

ah fuck I miss the old internet as a whole. Even the things that I would have considered garbage
at the time were a part of this big great amazing shitty internet. Even going back to when shit
like Arfenhouse was being made sure stuff was stupid but I just can't imagine an internet without
stupid flash videos being made.

every year it's the same with 4chan, just when you think it can't get any worse someone finds a
way to fuck it up even more and the whole process starts all over again. People may say that /b/
was never good, but god damn has it had some great moments and its share of laughs. Godspeed the
next gen anons, god speed.

4chan has changed.
But at least /f/lash remains (mostly).

>It can't get any worse than this
Famous last words. We think we hit rock bottom, and the newfags find a way to burrow into the
mantle. I feel like we're going to hit magma sooner or later.
Only way for this place to actual improve is get an admin who cares about the site and reign in
/pol/ since it has become the gateway board for newfags, not /b/.
And we all know that ain't going to happen.
>> [_] Anonymous 02/05/18(Mon)02:59:22 No.3313256
I'm by no means an oldfag but I've been on here for 8 years and there's been a lot of good times
I've had on here. This flash and craptastrophe actually got me very interested in 4chan, among my
edgelord friends getting into it around high school. There weren't really handy guides on 4chan
"lore" or whatever back then, you just got fed information by lurking and using contextual clues
as to what happened. Not that I'm bragging, it just speaks volumes as to how much infamy 4chan
has wrought itself in such little time, people said 4chan sucked in 2010, well, I wonder what
they'd think now.

bait if you're just looking for fun, and even moreso damaging for a company to try and shill on.
Not to mention, idiots usually only fester in bigger communities, like /b/ or /r9k/, which are
extremely easy to bait.
Also, /f/ seems to have the original "4chan sense of humor", as retarded as that sounds, back
when it was more anime-based and the comedy didn't revolve around constant cynicism and
circlejerking.

Also, with the expiry date of flash, we see a lot of content that is pre-2010s, and a lot of
post-2010 content is inspired by 2000s internet humor/swfs. Anyways, that's just my autistic
analysis. Long live /f/

You're pretty right. I think what preserves /f/ is how slow the board goes. Some people try to
bait and shit, but mostly the community of /f/ is here for a specific kind of content. And if
it's bait, they just ignore it and bump the good stuff they enjoy.
>> [_] Anonymous 02/05/18(Mon)03:10:56 No.3313265
>>3313262
The most important thing is /f/ is basically immune to phoneposting, which is what really killed
quality posting across the board (no pun intended.). It also helps it's a lot harder tfor reddit
to come in and steal content like they do with everything else since I assume you can't host
flash natively.

on the contrary, it's mostly shitters who repost the same crap weekly and bumping each other's
flashes in a gay circlejerk. it's extremely noticeable especially recently. it's also impossible
to ignore because of how the lifecycle of threads work on this board specifically.

I wish I could go back and experience the Internet when it was good. Or, at the very least,
better than what it was now. The archives don't go back far enough, and so many things have been
lost.
Every year, it seems to be getting worse. It's just going to be another year full of forced and
then forgotten unfunny bullshit, isn't it? There's so much manipulation coming from other places,
too. It's enough to make one into a pessimist.
