[_] Recipes inside Anon 3192490 So beef Stroganoff seems to have captivated everyone so here's my two versions. You can do this with ground chuck and a can of cream of mushroom soup Brown meat and onion, season add soup(no water) season again Serve over egg noodles or spaetzle Eat a filling meal and try not to freeze to death because you can't afford heat For those of you who aren't living on canned soup At least 2lbs trimmed beef sirloin. (bottom round works best imo top will likely end up chewy) 1-2 tsp salt 1-2 tsp pepper (use even more if you actually enjoy tasting food) 4-6 Tbsp butter 1 Large onion cut into thin rings (set aside like 1/4 cup of diced onion) 1-2 Tbsp flour 1/4 cup cheap ass white dry 1 Tbsp tomato paste 1 Cup (yes an entire cup) of sour cream. Extra: Mushrooms, Peel par-boiled golden potatoes (the waxyness keeps them from dissolving in sauce) more white dry if you need it Cut beef into 1/2'' slices and pound it out till thin. Cut that into strips Get a big ol high lipped pan med/high and add Butter and onion 3-5 min tossing, Add meat and brown 3-4 min Stir in flour 1 Tbsp at a time stop after the first if all moisture is absorbed Stir in tomato paste and add 1/2 cup dry white (add optional poatoes here) Pan to low Cover and let simmer for 4-8 min stirring occasionally In a sauce pan add 2 Tbsp butter, minced onion (mushrooms here) cook for 2-3 add a splash of white and add sour cream Pepper that shit like a man Mix into the other pan and for fucks sake don't let it boil just keep it low (if it boils it will "break" and you'll have a runny piece of shit that no waifu will ever love) Serve over egg-noodles, white rice or spaetzle Yeast rolls or rye bread compliment it nicely
