[_] R-recipe inside (≖ᴗ≖) :v 3215500 >The day has come for tendies This calls for frying, I know you probably should be trusted around hot oil and all but baked tendies just don’t cut it for me Heat oil to, high? Medium High Idk? I use a 2 in lipped pan on medium high on an electric burner (you can bake these on a foil lined sheet for like 20-30 min depending on thickness; however, I find them kinda dry this way) A ~1 lb chicken breast cut into thick strips makes 2-3 tendies I use 2-4 lbs of chicken cut into tendie strips (This is easily scaled up by pretty doubling everything) Spices and breading; 3 cups bread crumbs + 1/3 Cup parm cheese (you can swap out for panko if you want I've done it before its just as good if not better) ~1 tsp each Paprika, Mustard powder, Garlic powder ~1/2 Tsp five spice powder (optional) ~salt and pepper to taste more pep that salt. Some flour idk like 1/4 cup just on a plate for dredging 3 eggs and some melted butter 2-3 Tbsp If it looks like your running low while dredging just sprinkle some more or breadcrumbs in or add more egg if it gets used up. How DO TENDIESE D: ??!? Mix spices, parm and bread crumbs in large bowl and set aside, side aside a dish with flour Mix dem eggs and melted butter in shallow dish (like a a pie pan or high lipped dish) Gently pat tendies dry (becus they are good and need to know it) Dredge as follows: Egg -> Flour -> Egg -> Breadcrumbs Rest on plate in fridge for 15 min Fry tendies 3 min per side if you’re not submerging them roughly 5-6 in you are. Rest on cooling rack warm oven. Enjoy tendies by themselves, over rice, in a salad (Spinach, Cucumber, Tomato ranch, toss together with chopped tendies and enjoy) Sauces: -Mix a bit of sriracha and mayo for spicy mayo -Mix 3:1 sriracha with ketchup for a good dip -Mix 1/4 cup soy sauce with 3 Tbsp sugar and 2 tsp rice wine vinegar in a small pan, heat until reduced slightly pour over tendies on a bowl of sum fluffy rice Marked for deletion (old).

>> [_] Bill Nye the science man 3215515 Was looking up for ways to use stale, hard bread. Breadcrumbs are an obvious one, like in this. But I wanted to do something fun and interesting. So I have a sort of recipe here. So what I did was take 2 slices of stale bread, added 3 3-inch oatcakes, blended them together with medium egg and little milk. (about a tablespoon milk) Equally, I added some spices in to this mix: paprika, cayenne and cinnamon. If it is too runny, add some flour, more bread or oatcakes. (it shouldn't be!) It should barely be able to be turned by a spoon without putting in physical effort to grip. Cling-film, take 2 tablespoons of the mix, spread out in to a circle about 4 inches diameter. Now, take some ingredients of your choice: I used some veg, grated carrot, sliced red onion, sliced spring onion, and watercress. Also had some shredded chicken. (pre-cooked chicken! Nice slow-cooked chicken from earlier in the week, mmm) And to finish it off, a strong cheese. I used mature cheddar. Put a layer of cheese no more than 2 inches in the center, add the other fillers, then more cheese on top. Take your cling-film and fold it up from the corners until you make a ball, squeeze the edges over to seal the top of the fritter. Put in freezer for 5-10 minutes, or fridge until you need it. Get a frying pan out, put about enough oil to shallow-fry. (about half an inch layer of oil) Take out your little balls, squash them carefully in to a flat fritter. Open them up, toss them in that frying pan, cook them until golden orange, flip, repeat until all cooked. Done. The amounts I had, I was able to get 4 similar sized fritters. I also had some sweet chilli sauce left from some food the previous day, so had that with it. Soy sauce, BBQ sauce, sriracha, hell, any sauce really, would all go well. I'll leave that up to you. It turned out way better than I expected it would for one of my MAD food experiments.
>> [_] :v 3215517 >># Ayy them fritters would go great with these tendies. I had "kitchen scrap" fritters once that was very much along these lines. >ty anon this is a wonderful contribution.
>> [_] Bill Nye the science man 3215523 >># Indeed they would. I actually just had them all on their own that day for dinner. I prefer having a big breakfast and medium-small dinner, no lunch. Felt so much better when I changed to that style. Specifically, I don't eat till noon-ish (usually wake 8.30), then dinner is usually around 6-7pm. Not all the time, but most days of the week it is like that. Only not like that if I am out with friends, on holiday or whatever. I'm going to make some more of them either tomorrow or Friday. Looks like Friday, the bread is still weirdly quite fresh. This time it will be a fruit and nut bread I will be using - cranberries, raisins, walnuts, cashews and almonds. It is so good toasted. I can imagine it will be even better fried as a fritter. I will try to blend the bread up loosely this time and use more oat and flour to get a binder going, just so there is still some chunky bits in the batter. This time, I will have peppers, red onion, carrot, spinach and watercress, with the cheese and some of the chicken I still have left. Might also try some curry spices in the filling so it melts in with the cheese. Oh god yes, so doing that.

And the egg dip to Flour back to egg, is the second egg dip a different bowl to isolate the flour or is it the same dish? All in all, three dishes, one for crumbs, flour, and egg mixture? Would you recommend the breast to be cut in half before cut into strips or full on strips measuring about 8 in. long? ( ͠°ل͜ °)
>> [_] :v 3215632 >># Eggs and butter go together in dish, All one dipping place. You want essentially two layers of crumbs I do it that way and have widerr flatter ones Some people like em just cut into strips >Most of the time I just fillet the entire breast and fry it desu
