Anime called Popotan. It's honestly a pretty boring anime, about 3 sisters in a magic house that
teleport through time and dimensions to save the world or some shit. It was just early 2000's
waifubait mostly.

From what I remember, their objective wasn't to save to Earth, it was just to find the Popotan. I
haven't played the game, and I don't recall the anime really saying what their end-game was, just
that they were on a quest to find it.
I think the appeal is not so much in the overarching plot, but in the character interactions and
development. Many of the episodes deal with the loss of friends and loved ones, as the girls
can't form long-lasting friendships before they have to leave.
This leads to Mai and Mii wanting to stop their journey, and causing problems for Ai. In
addition, almost every character has to go through the struggle of parting with dear friends.
The maid wasn't emotionless, she was just stoic. She showed her emotions when she could, but she
kept her behavior very professional.
The two important male characters I remember are Daichi, who appears to them in two timelines,
and Keith, who shows up several times and interferes with their journey.

It could be, that'd make sense.
I only watched it, and I don't recall him being that important.
He was in the first episode, then they time traveled ~20 years in the future, and he found them
again, and I think that was about it.
Keith intervened and tried to stop him from meeting them, not entirely sure what came of it.
Would be kind of hot if they through in an incest subplot.
