hopefully this time
not sure if I fixed the preloading issue
I just can't seem to export an embedded flv to frame1 without converting it to actionscript
controlled video and/or making an extensive custom preloader in AS3
Marked for deletion (old).

echh
still weird
it works flawlessly here on win7 pc, in flashplayer 11, or firefoxbrowser flashplayer 32
but when I open it on another win10 pc, firefox flashplayer 32 it's just desynced, even locally
guess flash just has terrible sync with flv files, or maybe the mp3 gets fucked, idk what's
causing this
at least the music loops this time, enjoy at your own discretion

upon closer inspection: it was the browser cache
I want to believe it's just a preloading issue (anyone got any comprehensive preloader
tutorial?), but shouldn't that be no issue when you open a file locally?
you can try to load the full visuals (when it fades back to black) and reload the page and see if
anything changes
I'll leave it at this and move on to the next swf instead
some day I'll gonna get into making a preloader, I swear
it doesn't have to be a visual preloader to the flash, just that the video symbol gets preloaded
but the AS3 for that gets really bonkers
what a shame, I've never had these issues with .gif embeds

Get rid of the music and this would be pretty good.

Even worse video become extreme pixelated, c'mon it's not even 70's version it's not acceptable
even by 70's standard, just use proper replayers for video and music.
For music:
https://github.com/pachuco/flash_players_list/wiki
For video find one for yourself just don't use swfchan mp4 replayer this's terrible slow java
shit.
Also this >>3379018, music really not fit at all especially last part with tuned rap, style not
fit, words not fit, it's just sound cringe and spoils replay, get just instrumental version and
remix it to make it fit properly.

Here's it not sure which one work.
https://github.com/lukeweber/flac-as3-alchemy-wrapper
https://github.com/frederickjansen/flac-as3/
You easy can find native ActionScript version of encoder/decoder Haxe/CrossBridge(LLVM).

do you have any code in the preloader?
because it looks like you have just a small video in the first frame then the rest of the flash
in the second.
You should have a script that keeps looping the first frame untill the flash is completly loaded.
made a quick guide how I do it, but it isn't neccesarily the best way, but it usually works

I like the song, kinda fits that feaverdream feel, and /f/ has worse visual and musical clashes.
I do agree that the rap section of the song really, REALLY, doesn't fit.
Not sure how an instrumental would work but if you can find one might be worth a shot.
Either way, I'm rooting for you OP!

well- normally I just export bitmaps to frame1 to preload, but that didn't work with flv
sooo ... I made a preloader version anyway
with loading bar and all, hours of work to get into that stuff with AS3, but in the end it worked!
too bad that it didn't fix the problem at all ;_;
the desync is still there
everything gets preloaded 100%, but it has this slight delay on the video
reload the tab and badabing - it works normally
I just can't understand what's causing it, it makes no sense to me
I knew it, preloaders don't matter when you load from harddrive, it desyncs even there
it might just be that one more fuckup in flash
maybe there's a reason people don't use visuals in flv form
but for a video that long, going for a gif is kinda moot point

thanks, very nice
the reception was mixed it seems
last time, a lot of people liked it, and demanded a looped version
but now on Thursgay for some reason - even tho I made a perfect sound loop (as far as possible
with multiple mp3, wavs were seamless) - everyone hates it :(
it was the first time I experimented with flvs in combination with sound loops (both loop
independently), I use gifs otherwise, or have entire flv video with sound that streams
welp, this thread survived pretty long
I'll work on my other flash instead: 2 buttons, a gif, 2 sound loops, very ordinary and
foreseeable stuff, most work will be to get the songs to fit next to each other in some way
have a good one /f/, peace out for the weekend

@OP;
FLV is Adobe's special format just for embedding in flash, it's the most sane way of embedding
video in SWF.
I don't have all my Flash gear installed, so without decompiling, are you using FLV simply for
the video stream and using a separate audio stream object alongside it on the timeline? This can
cause issues; really, audio to be perfectly synced with a video should be in the FLV itself, THEN
added to the timeline.
As far as a preloader, there's a thousand different ways to craft one, but the general principle
is to put a stop() in frame 1, call your code (typically load-checking, and control of some kind
of display object to reflect the amount loaded), followed by a branch which sends the playhead
right back to frame 1 if not 100% loaded (otherwise proceed to frame 2 and get on with it).
With that basic form, you can do just about anything you can imagine, including displaying frames
of a movie clip or graphic symbol, or procedurally generated junk, changing tones or audio, or
whatever.
Just remember that any assets needed in the preloader have to be fully downloaded first, before
they can be used, so Ideally they should be very small in size; generally 10's of KB so as not to
be missed when preloading begins. (there's other tricks I know exist to force-load certain assets
before others, but I'd have to do a little research to find out exactly how that works again)

What I've always found odd is that, for a show with so much "fanservice" there's precious little
r34 of it.
