  So, here's the version with the preloader anyway æ !Dd7n98Z5E6 02/02/19(Sat)04:25:43 No.3379272▶

  if anybody still cares
it's really not possible to sync it up consistently, unless you put the AS for the sound and the
AS for the video on the exact same frame, but then
that means I had to cut the audio a second time at the beginning and play it back that way
sooo, there's still small gap/hickup at the start (depending if you load the swf for the first
  time or not)
don't know if it's worth it, very small and you only hear it once at the start, but
kinda ruins the first impression and the sync isn't THAT important
I just like that it plays more consistently with what I had in mind
so, tell me what you think, if you want I can baleet the thread and reupload the original version
  (with just added prelaoder)

[quick reupload. because I fucked up the metadata]

  That's a good looking preloader

  why, thanks
it took a little playing around to figure out how you would invert scale a bar from big to small
  righthand sided
i.e. there's a colored bar over the text that gradually gets smaller from left to right
basically you invert the sacleX value to negative, place the movieclip that shows the bar to the
right next to the text (like mirrored) and also invert the %loaded to count from 100 to 0

btw thanks to the preloader anon from last thread!
the documentation on AS3 is complicated at best (for someone who can't code for shit) and
  non-existent at worst

AS3 docs are pretty robust actually.
As with any code, one needs a solid foundation in OOP fundamentals, the rest is cake. The worst
thing to watch for in AS3 is the bubbling model for events, they behave a bit differently than
other OO languages; also be very aware of creating and destroying event handlers, ALWAYS make
sure to explicitly destroy Event Handlers after use, since weak handling is the default, and is
not explicitly garbage-collected (leading to memory leaks and lag). Strong handling can be
  specified though.
Glad you found preloader infos to be helpful. Play more with it, and be sure to check your work
in the Flash application's embedded test projector; it has bandwidth profiling (unlike the
standalone projectors), so you can set a data speed, and watch the results as if you were
downloading from the web. This allows you to debug/refine your preloader before publishing and
discovering the preloader doesn't work as expected :^)

Still 512x288, did you not learned anything?
Just use effective codec for A/V.
Also use interlaced video effect for loader.

it's On2VP6 flv what more do you want?
filesize is nearly max (due to mp3 cutting under 10mb) - I'd rather up the bitrate a bit,
resolution doesn't matter that much when you open it in fullscreen like you always should
interlaced is a nice idea, but for 2 seconds of screentime, not really worth it imo

Does this Cutie Honey AMV have a name?

This is really good... cheers to whoever made it, its saved in the archive

If you wanted to sync the audio with the video you could add a bumper to the end of the video
with source info, like who made it, what song, anime, etc.

  >>3379421
eyegasmhigh.swf? pretty sure OP mixed the audio and video themselves.

FLV should contain both video and audio.
Use a studio-grade editor, for example Sony Vegas (or any other editor with similar capabilities)
  to master the a/v loop.
RENDER it as MP4 with AAC/AVC codecs.

NOW... get it into Adobe Media Encoder (which you should have if you're using Flash, it's
  included in CSx)
From there, you can fiddle the width/height, and work down the bitrates and rendering depth to
fit your target size, finally rendering it as FLV (On2VP6 is your only choice for FLV!).

NOW you have a SFW-ready object to drop in the timeline. You should have ZERO issues with sync at
  that point.
Of course, remember to master your a/v loop at exactly the framerate you intend to use in Flash,
and your a/v object will simply drop in the timeline and play correctly.

The biggest hurdle is learning to calculate the best bitrate/render depth to render in FLV, it
can be tricky to get it right the first time, but if you're close, you're only 1, 2, maybe 3
renders away from hitting it perfectly.
