Anyone remember this?
It was a flash where upon opening it, there would be thousands of images on a grid that you can
scroll through.
You'd upload images to a particular location, rather than have it be locked into a board. It was
the best thing ever.
The images were stored on Zareste( )com, up until the site got nuked by GoDaddy and the site
subsequently stopped working. Zareste (deviantart( )com/Zareste) had talked about getting it up
and running again, but has gone into the shadows since 2013. Some snooping revealed that he
likely lurks /r9k/, /x/, and /g/ these days, so I shot-in-the-dark put up an autistic thread on
/r9k/ using his name and hacked trip, calling him out in case he happens to see
(http://boards.4chan.org/r9k/thread/50126466).
But we can't wait for miracles.
How can we recreate this flash?
It would be the first big win for /f/ in years. Let's make an image grid, bros.
Marked for deletion (old).

so you posted something that relies on a server that doesn't exist any more? and all it does is
display the word "connecting"?
i swear, just when you think 4chan in general and /f/ in particular has reached peak retard...

I mean, he's fully aware of what he posted. He wants to recreate the flash, so he was asking us
about it. What else would he instead post? Content then say "unrelated" ? It's all the same.

could you not just decompile the flash to examine how it scrapes the webserver for image links,
set one up to mimic the original, and then change the target domain in the flash itself?

in theory yes, but in practice? I don't think it's gonna be that easy
