I can cope with sadpanda going, but I honestly don't think I could deal with /f/ being deleted.
Is there anyway flash could still be used, or an alternative could be used instead? /f/ has been
a big part of my life for such a long time that I don't know if I could take it being deleted.

/f/ has been panicking about the death of flash since 2015ish, I think we might be fine for
another 5 years.
swfchan has a Bitcoin address at the end of the page, that's probably the best way to keep /f/
alive

to not use Firefox or Chrome. and people are still able to make new flashes as long as they are
willing.
i expect /f/ to stay online, if nothing else just for historical purposes. it's one of the very

not true, flash's retirement was announced 25:th of July 2017. that's when it started feeling
like it was dying. in 2015 it wasn't exactly "going strong" but nobody thought it was dying,
simply being used less.
last time i'd say flash was still going strong would be in 2012. feels like it started to go
downhill in 2013, that was the last year the Unity Game Engine supported swf export of games. but
times were still good, lots of flashes produced in 2013 compared to 2019.

there is some strange charm with having to fit the videos into a small size. i still think that
10 MiB has been too little for too long but 20 MiB would be a nice limit. should have been set to
20 on /f/ five years ago. very few non-video flashes are over 20 MiB but there are quite many
that are just over 10
