Flashes are black in Firefox for me!
Why don't they render, I can still hear the audio but not see anything. Halp!

OP here, I cleared all browser history and now it works all of a sudden. i don't know why that
should matter.

i've got 76.0.1 (64-bit), which is the latest one thanks to auto updates

it's great! ...except when some websites are completely broken but let's pretend that doesn't
matter

ah, i figured it out by breaking it again. i think it has to do with my graphics card (i've got
Geforce RTX 2060).
i put on a program in the background that rendered 3D graphics, which caused flash to flicker
white sometimes in firefox. then after taking firefox fullscreen flash became black with only
sound.
after closing the 3D program and closing and starting firefox again the flashes rendered properly
once again. so mystery solved. i'm still willing to bet there's probably something that firefox
is doing that is causing the 3D program to interfere with flash in the browser, maybe some kind
of sandboxing going on that just stops trying to render if things are too slow?

Having the same problem in windows. not in Linux however.
Small tidbit with linux though which is as interesting as it is annoying. With proprietary NVIDIA
driers 1650 super, when I play flash files in Projector. When I resize the window every x pixel,
it will create a parallel copy of itself by x pixels with only red green or blue rendering.
Although annoying sometimes it's fun to have RGB disco parties on my desktop.

now that's a step up from just a black screen

I've been seeing Flash issues lately too (Radeon RX 580) but I think it's Win10 updates fucking
things up.
Several times now it's started acting up at random, crashing the whole graphics driver when it
does. Resetting Firefox and reinstalling Flash made no difference, but so far updating graphics
drivers to the latest version has fixed it each time.
I think whatever changes Microsoft is making to Win10 needs to be unfucked by the drivers.

Flash is on its deathbed, anon. It's time to say goodbye.

Hello everyone. I am a long time lurker of /f/. Visited sparingly over the years but enjoyed its
coomer bait, funny content and all the endless reposts.
Much like the old text boards of 4chan I can imagine this place will probably be on its way out.
Be it gook moot or whoever maintains the site now..
So to long time browsers or recent posters I wish to say Farewell! Farewell to /f/!
Times change but at least we will have our memories.
