This is just a small Flash I'm in the current process of making. I'm trying to add a player in to
the flash, something to start, stop, rewind, and fast forward the flash. Unfortunately, it keeps
playing the audio from the very first scene in the flash every time it's reversed. I tried
multiple buffers (literal frames with nothing in them for the sole purpose of separating the
scenes) but it doesn't seem to be working. Anybody have some advice on what to do?

how do you play the sound inside flash? on a fram entering? as what? event or stream? or through
actionscript?
also what do you mean by reversed?
maybe what you looking for is audio channels in AS3
you can start and stop them independently at will
so at the start you mute all your channels (soundmixer.stopAll or something like that), so that
they don't continue playing when replaying the flash

The sounds playing are played in frames within a movieclip. Specifically, they are played in the
transition movieclip; bothe being event sounds.
If you click on the play button, it'll take you to a test animation with the play, stop, forward
and reverse buttons in them. Pressing the reverse button backs up the test animation five frames,
but it also plays the sounds in that movie clip, almost as if it warps back to the beginning of
the animation before backing it up five frames.
I'm using Flash 8 with AS2 (It's legally free, and runs well). Can audio channels be manipulated
with AS2?

Update on the issue.
I did some research on what you suggested, and you were right. It does seem to fix the issue by
calling them from AS2 scripts. Thanks for the help /f/am.

I actually need to have it done (or at least mostly done) by next Sunday due to assignment
deadlines, so I'll make sure to have it done as well as posted here by then. Thanks.
