it seems filter feature doesn't really support any sort of hardware acceleration. because i
copied object and made shadow out if it with filters. is there any 'right way' to do a shadow?

>> [_] Anonymous 07/19/20(Sun)07:29:17 No.3434273

  >>3434272
  that's more like it
  >is there any 'right way' to do a shadow?
the same way you put shadows on the text?

>> [_] Anonymous 07/19/20(Sun)07:34:32 No.3434275

  >>3434273
is that the right way? i used shadow filter on that. since i wanted to take control over shadow's
shape of char, i exploited other filters.

  >>3434275
i mean, i used shadow filter on text, but for main character, i copied symbol and applied -100 of
  contrast and brightness accordingly.

Lmao, I just replied to the old ver without seeing this ver.

  >is there any 'right way' to do a shadow
There is an optimized way to do it. Instead of using a shadow filter, do the same copy and paste,
but slap a tint on it at 100%, set the blend mode to layer, and then go to advanced and et the
  alpha to 30%.
I can make a video tutorial on how to do it later on today if you are interested.

  >>3434285
actually, i'm interested in that. is that possible on adobe animate? it's my first time using
flash or such stuff so video is much appreciated.

>> [_] Anonymous 07/19/20(Sun)10:28:21 No.3434292

  >>3434290
Bruh, it's possible in any version of Flash/Animate. I'll make a vid for you once I get back from
  work.

>> [_] Anonymous 07/19/20(Sun)10:30:08 No.3434294

  >>3434292
  thx.
by the way i mean, it's my first time using adobe animate/flash

So I finally sat down after a long day of work to do the tutorial, and...WELP...apparently the
technique only works in Flash CS6 and before, because the 'layer' blending feature in Animate CC
is completely broken, cause fucking Adobe just has to stick the knife in harder everytime they do
something involving Flash. I am sorry I kept you waiting all this time just for it to end up like
  this.

If you're interested, I can legally hook you up with an older version of Flash, so you can create
better optimized animations for this board.
