/r/ a SHA-256 or SHA-1 hash of your Flash.ocx in both System32/Macromed/Flash and
SysWOW64/Macromed/Flash
I suspect two of my computers only have flash version 32.0.0.445 for ActiveX, meaning either
Windows Update failed to update flash to the final version (32.0.0.465) or Adobe didn't make an
ActiveX release of the final version for some reason.
Is it the same for you? Below is my SHA 1/256 hashes of Flash.ocx.
System32:
498C14BE9A89D6AF96CD64F5B4DD7D7CB3ECC9CE
A3A9A644EDEA647E00BFAA93ABB9F383F540448009B9FAC3242C655DA2500D0D
SysWOW64:
00FB7AC805F0C6FF2C7BDA938D4239AC824F1FCA
F6108F3D0CEFAF3518788214BC090DBEB0E68BC6C13A978B7E40742D7E018A40
If you want to help but don't know how to get these hashes:
Install 7zip and then you can right-click any file to get a hash (supports SHA-1, SHA-256, CRC32,
CRC64 and BLAKE2sp).
Marked for deletion (old).

it's a great flash loop, you can listen to it for a very long time in the background.
but how about someone give me those Flash.ocx hashes

Just noticed that this flash removes File/View/Control/Help at the top of Adobe's projector,
didn't even know you could do that.

I amd going to try and figure it out, but I'm not very savvy, please forgive me. I am also
watching everything downloaded, not online, so I am not sure if I am of much use for you.

all you have to do is hash the two files described in OP if you have them on your computer and
then post the hashes. installing https://www.7-zip.org/ gives an easy way to hash files

Don't know what you want me to do with 7-zip, right clicking shows nothing about hashes and Right
Click > Open Archive > File > CRC gives me a different result from the one on two checksum
websites I tried so I'll just give you the results from http://onlinemd5.com/

I never update shit by the way.

Thanks, but it's kinda important that I only compare hashes from people that believe that have
the latest ActiveX version of flash.
Updates for the ActiveX version is handled by Windows Update on Win8 and Win10, Adobe's installer
even blocks you from manually trying to install the ActiveX version.
Installing 7zip should add a "CRC SHA" submenu when you right-click files in Windows. Maybe that
option can be disabled during installation of 7zip or you need to reboot for it to take effect?

I figured but OP didn't say anything, at least it counted as a bump. And yes, I see it now, I was
looking under the 7-Zip submenu before.

I fulfilled my own /r/equest by starting an old computer with Windows 7 on it so I could use
Adobe's DirectX installer (blocked on Win8/Win10).

The hashes are different than those in my original post, meaning my suspicion was correct and
Windows Update failed to update the DirectX version of Flash.ocx on my two main computers...

I have the same hashes as OP. Win10, and not up-to-date with WU. (Cumulative update 2021-01 is
not yet installed).

You should be able to open your ocx file in a text editor and search for "32.0.0" and find the
version number in plain text. At least, that's true on Linux, but I have no reason to think
Windows is any different.

Is there any compelling reason to have 465 and not 371? Did they actually fix anything, or is
there only the timebomb?
