I've never seen this before, this is a really fun take, how do you lose?

Time limit. Levels cycle infinitely from 1 to F, but good luck getting there.

This is brilliant.
It's so much more fun to play than the original.
The reward for a hit is not only a faster more fun gameplay, but also means a faster clear.
If you manage to get a return ball stuck pingponging above the map you get an almost instant
clear of most of the board.
This is a lot more fun than the tedium of starting and stopping, and it is incredibly simple too.

I'm gonna say a few more things about this game, I think I'm falling in love
I just noticed that this game keeps adding the block score for on paddle combo. This means you
have a huge incentive to not go one off one off but try to keep it as long as you can on the
paddle.
Besides the incredibly simple and elegant way to make a game really enjoyable, the simple
aesthetics and sounds are really well made and charming. A lot of flash games sometimes worry
about the style more than the actual gameplay.
This is really amazing. If you have any more creative games like that please post them, I have
one or two as well that I could share.

I discovered another interesting thing about the game:
The count up doesn't reset from stage to stage.
If you racked up a really big combo in stage X, stage X+1 will maintain the combo as long as you
can keep hitting the paddle
however, the combo's are always the small fry. The best thing you can do for your score is to
finish stages quickly. A stage adds 5k to your score, this is by far the largest amount of points
your can get and what you should be aiming for.
unless... the combo stacks up to infinity, then each block after 50 strikes could be worth as
much as a map.
I looked up the name of the man and stumbled upon an interesting interview. I found out he has
quite the portfolio, and flashes are his hobby. I have yet to find his pro work, but he made a
very interesting looking series that I would like to check out.

The guy is a veteran, been working since 1995, and has so many games its ridiculous.

Combo doesn't build more than 100
This makes sense, since a forever combo is game breaking
A combo is still worthwhile, 100 points instead of 10 with a couple dozens of blocks on screen
could mean just as much as the bonus or more by playing the stage right.
My biggest struggle at the moment is getting the last few off the level. I'm losing serious time
combatting them. I need to get better at aiming.

Another look at his site revealed something that made me drop my jaw to the floor.
His header, is a flash depicting a fractal that you can zoom into.
I have before tried finding online anybody making fractals using ActionScript to no avail.
I think this guy is my new hero http://nekogames.jp/index2.html

I know right? It's strangely addicting for how simple it is. This is from the same guy who made
cursor10.swf ; I actually found this flash by chance while browsing his old website on archive.org

Yeah. I'll have to check out his other games too.
Looks like he still makes stuff. He had his DMs open. I told him he was cool and asked him about
the fractal flash.

I wish more games would have a simple idea that changes the entire well known game basically

Yo, do you like breakout/arkanoid games in general bro? I think you'd like Breakquest, shit has
great C64 music by Maniacs of Noise, same guys who made the meme "Happy H. Christmas" you'd see
in spinning seal. Game is free, don't get the sequel, it sucks.

Damn, such a simple idea change makes for such a compelling and fresh Breakout experience. I
swear, if this game was released today on mobile devices, it would be a hit. Then again, it would
also probably be ruined by King and Zynga related microtransactions and timed paywalls.

A sequel exists, but it doesn't live to the original imo
