[>>>>>>>>>>>>Blog posting hours<<<<<<<<<<<<]
First case since returning to work was a suicide, recent organ donor registration.
messed me up because they obviously only went through with the registration to have "some good"
come from their death. At least that's my theory...
Flat out rejected across our donor pool
They were young and based on the case report an obvious shut in but in reasonable health.
Still, nobody wanted the organs.
It made me really sad for some reason.
even in death, they couldn't help anyone
family stayed only long enough to pronounce
I wanted to go to the ward to just to see them but I couldn't find the strength to face it
I just wanted to say I was sorry
wanted someone to be there for them
so anyways, my sense of taste is all fucked up and nothing tastes good anymore so I haven't
cooked anything interesting in a few weeks.
I need suggestions?
Whats comfort food to /f/?
What do you always go for when nothing sounds good?
>no judgement, mine has been bologna sandwiches since I was a kid.

Chili. I only make it in the winter and fall and it burns me up with heartburn but if the doctor
told me I'd die if I ate another pot of chili I'd die a happy comfy tub of shit.
Hope you find something to ground yourself fren. Keep your head above water, I always enjoy your
swfs and recipies.

Eh, wouldn't surprise me. Though I'd certainly hope that whatever afterlife might exist is more
interesting that this.

Long time no see!
Do you know what is causing your sense of taste to be weird? I'd say it might be better for you
to make a more aromatic dish if it's your tastebuds that are acting up.
If you do want a good aromatic rice recipe, I have just the thing:
>Ingredients
Rice (uncooked)
One orange
Lemon zest, lemon grass, or both
mint leaves
coconut milk
sugar
I do this differently every time, it seems, but here's the basics:
>Slice the orange thinly, like half a centimeter at most if you want to get technical, but keep
the skin on
>Throw the orange in a pot to boil
>Boil the orange twice from cold water; let the water reduce significantly before changing the
water, and when you do change the water, set it aside for use when boiling the rice.
>Boil the orange a third time in sugar water, I'd suggest heating the water up beforehand this
time so that you can saturate it more.
>Let the water reduce significantly again, and then remove the oranges from the sugar water, let
them dry at low heat in an oven for half an hour at relatively low heat, you don't want to
caramelize the orange, just dry it out a little.
>Now add some coconut milk to the leftover water, and boil your rice in it. (Make sure to cover
the pot!)
>While the rice is boiling, zest a lemon or cut up some lemon grass and add it into the boiling
mix. Save some of your zest to garnish the rice before serving.
>Cut up your mint leaves as well
>When the rice feels right, strain it out and put it on a plate.
>Add the oranges to the rice.
>Add the zest and mint leaves.
>enjoy!

Also, if you're up for it, get some unsalted pistachios as well and grind them up for an
additional garnish.

maybe, just maybe its the reality we would've always wanted to live in. That's what I've

Man that's harsh, who would reject an organ just because its previous owner killed himself?
Assuming he didn't take drugs that damaged it or shot a bullet through it or something. Do you
know the suicide method? Asphyxiation? I hope it was an exit bag, easiest way to go.

>>3437887
Yea It's really fucked up sometimes.
I know the method in detail, I can't say it since ya know laws and stuff.
The official cause of death for most cadaverous donors is asphyxia/hypoxia since they aren't
quite dead when they arrive.
They are "brain dead" and the removal of ventilation is what actually kills them.
The EMS report, chart notes and medical eval along with past history are all accessible to the
case workers and clinicians/Dr's.

I made pandan jasmine rice pudding with chopped pistachios and it tasted like paste :<
There's something about the physical olfactory nerves that get damaged in the course of the
disease but, they appear to recover slowly over time. My co-worker also had it and has regained
their sense of smell/taste with only the occasional lapse.

Homemade chex'mix
My mother always used to make it, and when I was in collage she'd send a few huge bags of it to
me in the mail.
It's just wheat, corn, and rice chex cereal baked with butter, Worcestershire sause and spices.

Yeah good morning
Weird take but most men when down usually tend to do workout to ease their mind and feel better.
And it actually works quite frankly
So as comfort food I would suggest something that might help increase your testosterone levels
like tuna, beef or onions and recommend doing some workout.

>Increase testosterone levels
I have a literal vagina, not a boy pucci.
Either way, thank you for the tip. I have a small home gym since 'rona started. Its mostly for
cardio but I have a pull-up bar and resistance bands as well.
When I was a teen I replaced self harm with excessive exercise. See, my plan was to become so
jacked that I'd never get sexually assaulted again because I looked like a dude.
Buuut, lackthe discipline to ever get to that point. Hey, at least I've always been in better
shape than most shut ins. I really lack the commitment to pack on mass, it's really not as easy
as those juice heads make it seem.

So no onions? Aww
I really do respect a strong woman and it means a lot to me that you told me those bad things
that happened in your past. Sadly I dont really know how estrogen works, however the best thing
that works to ease your mind are nice long walks outside, at the woods and park. It helps you
regain your senses and perhaps helps you to taste...better.
I ate Lahmacun today, was quite nice. Try something new, I'm quite sure you will find some
delicious stuff if you look outside the box
And investing time into yourself and your body is never a waste of time. If you re tired of
physical workout, you can still meditate, do breathing excercises and gain knowledge. Nothing
that was worth doing was ever easy, the struggle shapes us and you have come quite far to stop
now.
