[_] alright so why does flash have to be killed and disabled, can't they like just leave it alone?

The rationale is because numerous security issues have been found in Flash Player in the past,
there are likely undiscovered issues. Since Adobe will no longer support it, any new issues will
remain unpatched, presenting an unfixable attack vector for exploits. pwned systems = larger
botnets = shitty unfun times for all, ergo the simplest route is to purge it from existence.
There's also a common "herp derp, Flash is old therefore it's crappy and obsolete, look at these
shiny new technologies we can use instead" mindset in the industry. The Linux/OSS people have
been after Flash since day one since it's a proprietary technology.

what a superficial load of bullcrap
you can even force uninstall if you're so worried about the security of people not knowing shit
(which they are not)
the whole disappearance of flash was a very deliberate and calculated happening, with the
ultimate goal being to rid the people of the "power" flash gave them
lots of independent and uncurated web content and thousands of free games
google&co hated it, they created html5 which is arguably a more suitable standard for video
implementation, but sucks at everything else compared to flash
adobe was the last company which held any power over the internet, hence why plugins were long
purged only flash remained as an exception
but it is not a secret that after it made them successfull (at least played a huge part in it)
Adobe hated flash as a necessary obligation which they never bothered to fix, only doing anything
when somebody came crying
so google started a huge smearing campaign about the HUEG SECURITY VULNERABILITAE and people
started to hate flash for no reason
a huge suitcase of money later adobe annouced they will drop flash like the good goyim they are
and now google can happily ever after ban people on youtube and charge them in the app store

forgot to add:
but it's not okay to not give a single person on earth the chance to install it anyway if they so
desire, there is no reason to just try to make 20 years of history not happen just because the
like 2 people still having it are at risk for 10000s of viruses nobody will develop for 2 users
