Is it the format that this board is based around what drives ya'll here, or does the format not
matter and does it really come down to board culture? Just curious.
>SWF unrelated.

I'd say both. You can't convey this level of dickery through soundless WEBMs or JPGs, /f/ is also
a lot less toxic

I'm a big fan of the way this board is structured. The content is right at the forefront and the
discussion is optional. It means I can enjoy the flashes without hearing some loser's opinions,
which is the sort of theing thats turns me off about a lot of the internet. That said, the
discussion on here is also pretty good compared to the rest of 4chan, and the internet in general
I also really the like the swf format tho, its really versatile and kind of unique

I like the simplicity and variety of /f/; you have one page with many different swfs, you can get
through the whole page pretty quickly as opposed to wasting hours on the other boards. Most days
it's the same old, but occasionally you see some cool new stuph
Of course there's no real discussion because the population and activity is dwindling. But I
don't really care about that

i'm just here for the music loops.
what I don't get is the people spamming the same twelve or so flashes every time it's "miku
monday!!!" or "touhou tuesday!!" it's so goddamn boring. this board doesn't have enough thread
slots for that kind of spammy behavior

I grew up on /f/lash games and physics games so I'm naturally drawn to this board for nostalgia.
Plus, it still has some old culture attached to it. The only rule here is that you have to post a
flash. Whatever's inside of it could be anything you want, except for cp. Other than that, it's a
slow board, each flash has some significance or small details behind it you'll miss out on or
figure out eventually, helps finding new artists to listen to like Prototype Raptor or new
shows/movies/anime to watch, interactivity/games, smaller anon-base and I can go through all the
flashes in one sitting.
The only cons I can think of is when the same flash is reposted an obscene amount of times for a
month or longer, people who don't contribute new flashes, posting from the archive, and the worst
offenders, faggots converting videos into swf. Less people like that and more people interested
in making a unique flash based on what they like would be great. Hard to come by people who are
motivated to do so anyway, we don't even have a sticky with resources offering info on making
flashes or a wiki either. If we could get that setup and mods to pin a guideline, we'd start
seeing more content. Hoping for another year of new flashes.
Cheers, and long live /f/!

The board used to be fast enough that you could bump that stuff off within a few hours. Now the
board is so slow that that's the only action it gets anymore, and even then a straggling Miku
Monday flash might still be available through the early hours of Wednesday. For better or for
worse they help the board keep a feeling of activity.

Nostalgia and the fact I can still see the fragments of the early 00s internet culture.

Used to be the format, but now it's the board culture, because every other board is garbage. Even
/vr/ managed to turn to shit in a few short years.

Both. I wish we had a bigger place to live, but people don't want that type of content anymore,
and i'm not talking about flash, i'm talking about the style that comes with it. I started to use
tik tok weeks ago and it's weird how it have a good platform for creative things for flash style
(the algorithm applied to sharing/recommend/search is pretty good if you use it right), but the
users will never doo nothing creative because they are all retarded teens that follow everything
is trendy and out of touch adults that try to make the meme of the years to win some maketing
points.
