my point wasn't even about money, it was that you don't destroy a big chunk of what makes 4chan
worth visting.
if you make website X for purpose Y but it becomes hugely successful in an unintended way you
don't wreck your own successful website just because things didn't turn out the way you planned
them. all the people visiting /v/ are perfectly happy with the way it is and those that aren't
will go to the new satellite boards.
