Completely remade http://swfchan.com/35/172097/?Dreams.swf from scratch.
Way higher quality with comparatively the exact same filesize.
>Made a short preloader/replay frame and intro video sequence
>cut together the HQ loop from raw ED in a tiny square, the rest of the screen is just a static
image over which the video is layed on top, both from the same source settings so there's next to
no visual seamlines
>remade the audio into an intro and separate looping part (it's not seamless, but doing so would
cut away too much from the song imo)
>added proper visual plus audio sauce
Remaking that video loop was more of a hassle than I thought it to be. I assumed it was just the
ED, but apparently the OP of that flash already did some video editing, like cutting out the
credits. It took about 4 parts, one of which needed to be reversed, to make the full loop. So OP
did basically everything I did already, just that he put it into a gif, rather than making it in
flash directly.
So, hold on tight to your flash, /f/ags.

Flash has been dead for almost a decade now.
No new games, no new vector animations, no real Flash basically.

W.T.Dinner just recently dropped his new pokegirls animation, what're you on about?
Even if people don't regularely release their work as swfs, a lot is still produced inside flash
(or animate).
Really the only thing gone is the myriad of amateur wannadoodle animation a la newgrounds, but
who misses those?
Also the free internet games, but that's less because there's a demand for it and more because
devs realized they can easily earn a quick buck or two if they instead fart it out in unity onto
steam.

a format is not dead as long as there's interest in new stuff made in it.

My only gripe with this flash loop is the large gap between the intro and loop audio.
What I usually do for this is make the intro streaming audio type and the loop event audio type,
then fiddle with the framerate until they line up.

was a barely noticeable gap for me. probably varies from computer to computer depending on
performance, screen resolution and method of playback

Havent been on /f/ in ages, how do I open flash in chrome without it downloading the file which I
cant even open? Embedded doesnt work either

you can't
you either download firefox or be stuck with ruffle on any other browser that's not chrome

You welcome, lol.
>>3463317
Or you use a browser that's not controlled by the likes of google&co such as basilisk/palemoon
and just use flash like it's 1997!
Note that embed won't function there as well, because mods decided flash doesn't exist anymore
apparently. We're stuck with opening the files oldschool.
>>3463306
Sorry that it doesn't play as well for you, anon :/
It really has no gap on my end, definitely depends on CPU power though, as the loop is done by
actionscript.
I was fiddling around with the same problem in one of my earlier flashes as well, where I indeed
did exactly what you said.
I guess I could have made the intro stream once and find the perfect frame to start the audio
loop in the middle of the video loop, but I just preferred to have it at the start and the video
intro is too short to do that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Maybe I'll come back to it sometime later and make a few corrections that I wasn't able to fit in
this time.
