category to see if I can spot it in the thumbnails.

The only thing I can consistently remember that I'm 100% sure of is there was a large vertical
sign outsider the window (Japanese I think).

Hmm, can't say I've seen that one before.
Sure, there are a ton of flashes with similar looking loops. It might be a very obscure or recent
one.
Are you sure it wasn't just some webm on another site though?
I've made that mistake once and I had to recreate the flash I saw from the webm, it didn't
actually exist in swf form prior to that.

Absolutely sure it was a flash loop and not a webm. I used to run it in the background while I
did level design like 6 or so years ago. It's certainly not an new flash.

Yes, that's exactly it. The only Distinctive thing I remember is it's filename was not very
descriptive of the flash.

i'm pretty sure i have the flash loop you're looking for btw, so it does exist. but i have over
1000 swf loops saved and not the time to go through them. have tried searching among swfs with
"cat", "space", "rain", "cyber" in their filenames

Yeah when I tried to reverse image search I found the original artwork which is cool. However I
have searched for all those search terms on both Dagobah and swfchan and I haven't found it. I
have spent hours of my weekend trying to find it through searches because not finding it has been
driving me nuts.
That pepe one is pretty dope though, thanks for sharing.
I'm gonna keep looking on swfchan but if you happen to come across the flash in your swf randomly
in your spare time folder lmk annon.

i sorted my swf files by date modified and went through 2016 through 2017, i think i found it:

however in http://swfchan.net/38/HE90BIG.shtml the author is saying that it's a remake with
reduced file size, maybe the original had better audio quality? sounds like this version have
some issues with the drums maybe. the original swf doesn't have the same file name so i can't
find it but maybe the poster's name ("pleb") and the audio source ("pleb WAVE - Letting Go") can
give you a clue to track down the original swf
