On chromium, had the same issue on waterfox. >> [_] Anonymous 10/24/21(Sun)06:37:15 No.3474899 Install PaleMoon Gentoo edition! Archive.org and Swfchan has instructions and archived versions of flash plugin too >> [_] Anonymous 10/24/21(Sun)10:03:57 No.3474910 >>3474898 waterfox should be able to open flash files, but only if you installed the flash plugin (use the swfchan edited one) in short: you cannot easily open flash files anymore, not in the big major browsers at least here on /f/ clicking embed doesn't open the file, it emulates it via ruffle (which is a script) >> [_] Anonymous 10/24/21(Sun)11:47:01 No.3474916 >>3474898 i have a userscript which hijacks middle clicks on links ending in .swf and redirects them to a simple swf embed page i have, works pretty well for me >> [_] Anonymous 10/24/21(Sun)11:48:36 No.3474917 I'm running an old version of vivaldi before the axe and I'm also using the modified version of flash. Everytime I click on a flash, instead of playing it tries to download it. I had changed my os recently and had to reinstall my shit. I remember having this issue and it magically resolving itself somehow. plugin refuses to stay checked. >> [_] Anonymous 10/24/21(Sun)13:12:04 No.3474921 >>3474916 10/10 diy I think palemoon does a similar thing as they for some reason don't truly have the swf in its own window, but in some form of html wrapper with a white border at the margin. >> [_] Anonymous 10/24/21(Sun)20:40:09 No.3474939 >>3474898 I'm using an old version of firefox and it works that way >> [_] Anonymous 10/24/21(Sun)20:51:20 No.3474941 >>3474916 that's neat but how sad isn't it that companies have decided that we don't want flash, something that's been a staple of the web for over 20 years, leaving us with no choice but to do weird things like that >> [_] Anonymous 10/25/21(Mon)07:34:57 No.3474971 >>3474941 what do you mean "you are posting video content in a non-regulated centralized platform" and "you aren't gonna pay money everytime you open a new web game" |
