Spent the evening putting this together, tell me what you guys think. I'm calling it "Mostly HQ"
because there's a few sounds in there for which I couldn't find higher quality sources for (I
sourced the sex sound effects from Sonic Transformed 3 as well as the song in Zeena's scene, would
like to know where the latter comes from if someone happens to know, I just assumed it was from
Sonic Lost World but that doesn't seem to be the case).

Excellent work anon! It's a big difference.
Noticing a little longer silent audio gap on the background music when it repeats but it's not so
bad all things considered.

OP probably imported a mp3 and not a wav.

Remember, guys, click the falling star at the opening, then up down, left right, A start on the
controller.

Oh damn, is that why it does that? I had no idea, guess I'll make a V2 of this later then.

Okay, importing as WAV does seem to fix the issue but it's going to significantly increase the file
size, also it seems that the audio in the original was in MP3 yet it still looped fine which
confuses me. Any ideas or should I just leave it as it is? I'd love for it to loop properly but I
don't want to increase the file size to a ridiculously and unnecessarily large amount.

Seems like getting the music to loop without a gap AND have it in MP3 would require me messing with
ActionScript or something. Bah, think I'll leave it as it is. Shame but I'm still happy with the
end result.

Dude, you import the sound as wav, set it on stage.
Then in the publish settings you set to export as mp3.
So it is the same mp3 in the swf, just that you cannot import an mp3 into CS without the gap in the
first place.
Wav for creation and mp3 for the final product. This way you have little filesize and no gap.

Okay, I was actually using JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler to replace the audio files but I'll try
doing what you suggested later. Luckily I do happen to have Flash Pro CS6 installed.

Ohh, yeah, good luck. Sorry, didn't know you were modifying a flash, I thought this was a
recreation.
Yeah, should work to export as .fla and open in CS6, but idk whatever troubles could be awaiting
when re-exporting the flash. Might not be worth the trouble of the little audio gap. Especially for
code heavy flashes.

I tried replacing one of the songs using CS6 and while the file size was roughly the same as the
original SWF and that the song did loop properly, the text fonts were all messed up but the flash
seemed to function normally otherwise. This shouldn't be too much of an issue since I guess I could
export the missing fonts from the flash using FFDEC and re-import them into CS6 when it asks for
them.

I don't know if any more issues will arise from doing it like this but if I decide to give up on
this, I'll let you guys know. A lot of work just to get the music to loop properly but I'm willing
to go through with this if it's not too difficult.

>> Anonymous 21mar2022(mo)03:40 No.89138 OP P12

Welp, I hate to say it but I have some bad news. I was able to get all of the music to loop without
gaps using CS6 but now there's an issue with certain graphics either being misaligned or not
rendering properly, most noticeably the text (see the attachment for an example). I refuse to
upload what is essentially a broken version of this flash so I guess we're just going to have to
deal with the gaps between loops.

Sorry lads, I tried.

np man, converting swf to .fla is not exactly a very precise process
it's known for things to fuck up, so unless you have the original .fla it's nearly impossible for
an actionscript heavy project like a game

unfortunately idk how to edit the mp3 any other way so there's no gap
maybe there is a lesser known way, the problem is well known, maybe you can do something against
the issue itself by modifying the audio
