I can't get it to work. I have tried ruffle in the Firefox browser and the standalone flash
player. On Ruffle i Get the credits and can't click the "Main Menu" Button. On the Flash Player
it says it can't be hosted locally.
Any tips?

>Ruffle
This is an AS3 game, Ruffle only knows how to advance frames, but not run AS3 code.

Yeah, there's a local check for some reason, I don't know why the hell they do that.
Either open the swf directly from 4chan (press ctrl-O in the projector or File > Open, paste in
https://i.4cdn.org/f/Arachnophilium.swf, wait through the nonexistent mochi ad) or drag the swf
into 7-zip, extract the uncompressed swf, open it in a hex editor and turn the 26 (pushtrue) at
offset 0x4179e into a 27 (pushfalse).

I could not get it to work with the ctrl-O method. I pasted it into the address and the file
location.
I apologize for my noobishness, but I have never used a hex editor. I did extract it with 7-zip.
I am not sure if I did it correctly. I found 0x004179E0 I don't know if that is the same 0x4179e.
If found this:
19 CB A5 F2 FC 47 28 46 84 AB 4C 9B FD 55 29 E7
The Hex Editor I used was "https://hexed.it/".
How do you get it to work on your machine?

Yeah, the right offset is 0x4179e, not 4179e0. You might've been looking at the stuff on the left
side - in this case, it'll be on the "line" 41790, and "e" means it's the e-th (15th) byte on
that "line".
In hexed.it, there's a "Go To" panel at the right side, you can paste that position in there to
go directly to it.
Another way to find the right spot is to look for these bytes:
5e c2 1f 26 68 c2 1f
That 26 in the middle is the right place.
I don't know how opening the swf's online address in the projector didn't work, however. Network
issues? Copied the comma? Can't assume anything.
For anyone else following this, I found that position by opening the file in ffdec, going to the
script arachnophilia_fla.MainTimeline (after some time figuring out where it checks whether it's
being played offline), clicking the true after "gBlockLocalhost = true", setting the P-Code
source viewer to hex with instructions, then searching the stuff around it in a hex editor.
