Now it comes the hard part, starting to connect shit together. I don't even know if can't do it lol. This could be a total fail, but at least I'm having fun xD I have the name though: " Ukiyo-f " Maybe next Sunday I'll have some update on this. Marked for deletion (old). >> [_] Anonymous 11/13/24(Wed)20:42:24 No.3515218 Looking forward to your first variable, nice art though >> [_] Anonymous 11/13/24(Wed)21:34:16 No.3515219 this is actually kind of gross. why would you spend time making this? >> [_] Anonymous 11/13/24(Wed)21:42:19 No.3515221 >>3515218 Thanks anon! I'll try to make it work. >>3515219 >why would you spend time making this? Just pure and personal Fun? =) >>3515219 >kind of gross What would you change? >> [_] Anonymous 11/14/24(Thu)04:40:57 No.3515229 >>3515208 Did you draw all that? The themes are not really my thing but power to you for creating something. >> [_] Anonymous 11/14/24(Thu)04:58:31 No.3515231 >>3515219 Okay, I have to know now, why do you spend your time following this guy on absolute everything he does? Did he killed you mother or something? I mean, I see you on EVERY thread saying the same thing. If you wanna ask him out and you don't know how, hint, he likes big nipples. >> [_] Anonymous 11/14/24(Thu)14:21:56 No.3515260 >>3515229 >Did you draw all that? Yeah, When I do these flash thingies, I do all the images on a size below 500px. As tiny as I can. It forces me to keep the designs simple and "easy" to finish. With better or worse results. (I didn't like the girl on the tree so much, but it is good enough for this silly shit lol) >The themes are not really my thing but power to you for creating something That's all I want, to create something fun for me to do. This is way more fun than going fishing, or hunting, or sailing, or growing a garden, or any other million hobbies I could have in my free time. Today I spent a few couple of hours writing down how to connect all the events to get a coherent sequence of triggers. That's fun, even when I don't even know how the fuck that's supposed to work in flash, lol Tomorrow, I'll spend another hour doing some graphics according with this "gameplay plan", and so on. I could not do this shit without flash, if I had to code all of this and go through other game making software, I would drop this, forget about it and get a bike. xD >> [_] Anonymous 11/14/24(Thu)14:59:31 No.3515265 Can you do anything other than click around and read at this point? >> [_] Anonymous 11/14/24(Thu)15:18:04 No.3515266 >>3515265 No, that's it, for the moment. I don't know how to do games, and I can't code neither. I'm gonna try to do something similar to an "escape room" type of game, but I can't promise any success xD >> [_] Anonymous 11/14/24(Thu)15:22:53 No.3515267 So far, so good! Keep up the good work. It's been a while since I've seen a good flash game. >> [_] Anonymous 11/15/24(Fri)04:34:06 No.3515281 I like the fishbowl lens on the gate also; 7339 , (1-5?)829 ,can't tell if the girls position implies order or the hints themselves do, the latter has conflicts so I'd think the former but idk >> [_] Anonymous 11/15/24(Fri)05:38:02 No.3515282 >>3515266 your gonna have to learn how to do actionscript, which is if you ever done coding is pretty easy. if your just doing a point-and-click like you're pretty much already doing then it'd be pretty easy. there are tons of old tutorials for it. BTW what version of flash are you using? >> [_] Anonymous 11/15/24(Fri)10:38:40 No.3515291 >>3515281 Thanks anon! About the code is supposed to be really easy, they are hinting that it's always the middle number in-between the other two, like if they say (0-1-2) it is 1. If the other say 7 and 9, the number is 8, and so on. I'm not good at this, maybe I wrote a nonsensical "riddle" lol. Anyways the "code" isn't implemented yet. >>3515282 Thanks for the help anon! I'm using the Flash (professional) 8, the old one from 2005. It's the easiest one to find, it has a lot of limitations but I like it, it works perfectly fine and fast. It only allows AS2. I can't bother to learn AS at this point, this is supposed to be a relaxing hobby lol. I only know the bare basics of AS2. Years ago I've found this video, and I think it shows what I need to make this little project (hopefully) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POGoKCQKwiQ >>3515267 Thanks anon! >> [_] Anonymous 11/15/24(Fri)12:12:09 No.3515300 >>3515291 Use CS6 for AS3. There's a full download with installation guide on gdrive. I used that myself. Search the archives for /f/lagship. >> [_] Anonymous 11/15/24(Fri)12:34:09 No.3515307 >>3515300 I have another nice Flash 8 version that allows AS3. But I can't use AS3, it's quite different from AS2. I know it is better, but I'm retarded, and I need a retarded ActionScript like AS2 for me to do anything at all lol. Thanks for the tip anon. I do have the CS6 somewhere, never installed it though. By the way I think that all the links from that /f/lagship page are dead, Adobe took them all down, last time I checked. Maybe you are referring to a different source. >> [_] Anonymous 11/15/24(Fri)14:05:48 No.3515308 >>3515307 AS2 should be perfectly fine for what you're doing. Most of the features that AS3 offers aren't relevant to the average hobbyist flash dev anyway. It does give you a vast performance benefit but in turn you have to write stricter code, while AS2 kinda just lets you throw shit at the wall and it all sticks. Granted, a point-and-click adventure won't ever be running into the performance barrier where you'd be forced to make the switch. For reference, my space game that computes collision, angles and momentum for 100+ objects runs at 60fps on AS2, hardly making a dent in the runtime performance. >> [_] Anonymous 11/15/24(Fri)14:52:03 No.3515309 >>3515308 Thanks for the info, anon, all of that is incredibly interesting to me all of a sudden now that I understand just a tiny bit of flash, lol. I'm too square headed to get to your level of understanding, but I'm amazed at what I can do with this obsolete little program and just a little bit of knowledge. Taking down this tool must have been like an extinction level event on ground level creativity out there. >> [_] Anonymous 11/15/24(Fri)15:57:19 No.3515311 >>3515309 Glad you appreciate the insight. >Taking down this tool must have been like an extinction level event on ground level creativity |
