Shouldn't have discarded swat, though even if I didn't, your fence ruined a chance at swiping via banshee and my brick production was too slow to outpace you if you had high offensive card in spite of having a few high quantity cards such as +8/-4 and babylon. I had pixie though so maybe had I used that instead of dragon in light of your 5 builders. You're stuck with a huge amount of resources and you can't do anything >> [_] Anonymous 10/17/24(Thu)21:01:47 No.3513681 Played throughout today and here are my notes: Magic is very powerful cause it can uniquely convert itself to other resources while providing surplus, block your opponents if you get a lead with it, while also having one of the best damage and castle cards, and the most debilitating card in the game (curse). Fence seems poorly balanced, especially with wain and reserve in the mix, looking at castle wars 2/2.5 (found in netplay) this seems to have been adjusted both ways, fence was made more cost-effective and the direct castle-drains for hp were reduced. Saboteur is useless in light of thief, but maybe it's meant to be bad for singleplayer. It's hard to say which deck would be best without testing it against another deck made to counter it, in order to determine if there's a style that can adequately deal with any other, and to that end it would be nice if you could make and store decks locally. Optimally it would be done selectively but how that would be done while maintaining the games simple input is the question. A way it could be done without sacrificing the games simplicity of input would be to have it take 3 adjacent cards, whether this would be negative or positive from a tactics pov is uncertain. On the one hand it's more limited in it's use, on the other it's powerful to reshuffle when you're looking for a card and so having it require some shuffling around by using cards adjacent to that you want to discard to ensure you aren't discarding good cards may be interesting >> [_] Anonymous 10/18/24(Fri)01:44:18 No.3513691 fun af |
