That is a well trained force right there.

I see they're following the good old "Point the gun in the general direction of the thing you
want dead and pull the trigger until you run out of bullets" philosophy of marksmanship.
Seriosly, did anybody ever think top ask "What are these things on top of the gun? What is this
thing at the back? Hey, the longer I hold the trigger the more the gun jumps around... why don't
I let go of the trigger when that happens and get the target back in my sights before resuming
fire?"
They aren't even using cover for fuck's sake. Add to that the fact that they are wearing bright
colours over vulnerable spots and you have a fighting force that seems custom manufactured for
maximum mortality. A team of five properly trained and supplied men could wipe out the entire
revolution...

The problem is that you still have 500 people pointing and shooting at you, and the more barrels
pointed at you the risk of getting shot goes up dramatically. Sure they may not be aiming
directly at you, but a bullet that isn't aimed is still as deadly as one that is. Not to mention
the fact that the more stupid ones that are killed only make the smarter ones that actually know
how to use a gun stand out.

This is what snipers are for. Pick off the ones with explosive munitions and actual training and
a good team utilizing cover can cut through the main force like a hot knife through butter.

That plus they use weapons that don't need a very precise aim like rocket launchers, plus these
are the kind of people who make suicide charges that will run all the way up to you until it
doesn't matter if they use the sights or not. You don't ever underestimate a person with a gun no
matter who they are.

I think it would be more terrifying going against people who don't know how to aim, instead of
fire coming in at a precise angle like threads though the air that you can take cover from you
have people shooting at every possible angle with bullets going though the air like angry bees
from all possible angles.

To be honest, people in Liberia have no real access to powerful explosive munitions or sniper
rifles. Most of them had to rely on cheap as dirt assault rifles for combat. Plus seeings as how
that group had very little time to prepare for the defense of Liberia the chance of them getting
"good" weapons was even lower. Granted, in the documentary that this clip was from, they had a
heavy machine gun mounted on the flat-bed of a truck, but that was really it in terms of heavy
weapons. Also the military training in pretty much every African country is a joke, they mostly
rely on convincing the soldiers to run into gunfire and shoot at the enemy rather than using
actual combat tactics.
