i may not be the most intelligent person. actually im probably the least.
i just feel like while what he says is great, i feel like somethings missing. like a flaw in his
idea.

No surprise. Anyone would think "What's the catch?".
The only catch is actually accomplishing it.

His ideas are very soundly based, and poignant in nature. I applaud him, and believe the world
would highly improve for mankind if we followed even 10% of this man's ideas.

Well, I'm glad to know that I'm one of the people in this new generation who has already
developed all of his opinions for myself.
I guess I'd better get to work picking up where he left off...

he has failed to account for one thing: Human Nature.
People are greedy and self-serving. Without incentive, regardless of it being obtained or not,
there is no reason for anyone to switch to his system.
With capitalism, or at least, capitalism as far as our as we have it, there is always the
possibility that you, the individual, can become rich and prosperous. Truth is, very few people
do. But, there is still that potential. In his society, there is no power to be gained, just
equality. And people don't want to be equal, they want to be superior.

An educated society wouldn't feel any need to seek superiority. You present your opinion as if it
is fact.

I believe you mean "a society educated to recognize equality as good, and superiority as
unnatural."
You sir, are a hypocrite.

The existence of Human nature is not his opinion, it's something that is there. Ignoring it would
be impossible, it is only something that must be worked around. If you try to eliminate the
weaknesses of humans and create a perfect society that has no pain or misery, then you have
essentially accomplished the greatest evil that man is capable of producing. What I'm talking
about is essentially human instrumentality. That is exactly what must be avoided.

I merely look to the whole of documented human history as a basis for my theory of human nature.
While I would like for these events to come to pass, I feel that, on the whole, the majority of
people are afflicted with this human nature, and cannot see past their own selves. as such, this
wouldn't work.
Now, a society that didn't have the self-serving characteristics, that had a very different
mindset, namely, the concept that the other is greater than the self, then we could successfully
orchestrate the venus project. Until such a time, we are hoping for lead to become gold.

Here's an idea guys, why don't we build a population of robots, and then kill all humans. That
takes care of that pesky human nature right there.

one day some super rich smart guy is gonna get pissed and round up everyone with an IQ above 140
and take them to the moon and develope a super society with robots and time travel and play
station 8's then come back and rape us all.

Mount Aloha, haha. I think he means Kīlauea.
Though it is true that there is enough geothermal energy in the US's borders to meet its energy
demands, and then some. Problem is that it is expensive to access, and the electric
infrastructure currently in place would waste a lot of it.

you people sure are sure of yourselves :o
All in all, this requires higher levels of consciousness. As in less of the petty drama and a
grander view of things. Attachment to the world + scarcity. Gnosis of the scale and cosmic "love"
without bs cliches.
But what do I know? I'm only 20! Lots to be learned still. I do know that an open mind is best.
