  Zeitgeist is garbage. The first half lures you in by talking smack about religion, but if we're
  honest, even that part is idiotic and feels like some douchebag teenager threw it together after
  looking at Wikipedia for half an hour. They draw links between gods that are strenuous at best,
  and completely dubious at worst. Like the comparison of Bacchus to Jesus. Bacchus didn't "turn
  water into wine" he invented the stuff. He wasn't crucified, he was cooked in a bowl by fucking
  giants. He didn't get resurrected, depending on the version of the story he either survived the
  attack, or was sewn into Zeus's thigh to regenerate. This also happened when he was newborn, he
  never had a resurrection as an adult. In that, the connections feel rather pathetic, and he may
  as well be saying "In this story, there's a protagonist and a conflict. In this other one...
  There's a protagonist and a conflict too!"

  The whole crux of the problem of Zeitgeist is ducks and duck soup. It's assuming life, and people
  by extension, works like robots.

  If we had a wonder drug we could cure cancer, if we had magic powers we could teleport, if we had
  a system of fully automated machines controlling the world no one would have to work and we could
  all just do whatever we wanted. Except reproduce, because it would create problems.

  I want for it to work, but it just won't. Zeitgeist doesn't improve the system so much as it
  tries to "solve" the "problem" of life.
